We stopped because of the other Unilocal reviews and we’re glad we did! Everything we ordered was fresh, hot and delicious. The waitress was absolutely wonderful and kept us entertained with conversation about her children and her travels. Chef salad was huge and enough for two people to enjoy. Pancakes were tremendous as well! The cheeseburgers that my parents ordered were juicy and delicious and the fries were crisp and hot. As others have said, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This place is a gem!

This place is a nice cozy country diner. Almost every customer knows each other and the waitresses. The food is your average diner food, nothing special. The waitresses are friendly, courteous and are always making sure that all is well with their customers. One goes here mostly for the friendliness and atmosphere of the place. They have good hamburgers and salads. It’s a place a person feels very comfortable in from the moment one enters.

Stopped here on our drive back to Massachusetts, this is everything a diner should be. The menu is huge, the server very friendly, and the food we ordered was delicious. My western omelet and rye toast was outstanding, his hot turkey sandwich with gravy covered fries could have fed a neighborhood.

Sassy Waitress; food was really good. A bit off the beaten path. We would definitely return. Food was great!

I agree with most of the reviews — Mullers has good but not great diner food in a very pleasant atmosphere. The highlight of the breakfast menu is their sausage gravy with biscuits. it is a huge portion of creamy — not floury — gravy over tender hot biscuits. Very enjoyable — but a bit much for one person. One of the better versions that I have had. I had my other diner favorite — meatloaf. It was good, not fatty or gristly — but it was not great. The mashed potatoes were instant, but still solid and good with all the gravy. My friend had the open face hot roast beef sandwich that was quite good. The soup was a bit tasteless. One day I will have enough room for dessert.

If you judge the place by the outward appearance, you would probably never go in. It is not a glamorous place but I thought the food was very good and the portion sizes were generous. Hubby and I ordered coffee to start. It was probably one of the best cups of coffee I have had out in a long time. Strong and hot. I ordered the Little Lady breakfast special and hubby got the Big Man breakfast. The waitress was very good. She explained that she started working at age 19 and now she is 55. All the condiments we needed were brought in advance of the food. Very filling meal. I didn’t eat lunch or dinner, just had a granola bar before bed. Very friendly staff and lots of people coming and going on a Tuesday morning.

Inside this little dive hides a secret: good basic food and interesting local conversation. I can say that the outside appearance isn’t exactly inviting, you might drive past without even noticing, but we used the positive Unilocal reviews to urge us through the door. The food was great! We both had one of their specialty omelettes, that come with some hearty home fries and toast. Nothing fancy, just good basic food… The clientele was mostly older people, and it seemed like they all knew each other as regulars. The waitresses were pouring coffee for many customers before they even got to their seats. I like this place. If you’re driving through, stop by for friendly service and hearty meals…

Charming, delicious, convenient! Friendly staff, apparently a good crowd of regulars, normal/prompt service, tasty pancakes and omelet.

Pretty good diner. Everyone very friendly. Parking lot seemed full on a Sunday Morning but they had plenty of seating available. Everyone was happy with the food.

Stopped here while traveling thru the area. The place doesn’t look like much but the turkey club was great and the people were very friendly.

Classic small town diner. Huge menu. Service was casual and friendly. Great burger, cooked precisely to order. Served with a generous order of fries — crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Bacon was crispy and plenty of it! And a crisp, refreshing pickle and side of cole slaw rounded out the«burger of the day» for $ 5.95!

They are very friendly and close to the train, but we did not really like their food. Ordered eggplant with pasta and turkey with mushed potatoes. It was below average.

Stopped here on a roadtrip. Haven’t been in PJ since the 1950’s. Stopped in because of all the other cars parked there. It was a good experience. Good, tasty American food at good prices. Good service and quick too even though food was prepared to order not like microwaved fast food. Stop in; you’ll like it.

I’ve always liked the Port Jervis Diner. The food’s pretty good, the atmosphere is what you’d expect of a small town Diner, and for the most part the wait staff are friendly. I say most of the time because High Schoolers are always in and out of employment there, and you know how teenage girls can be. The atmosphere is very casual; you walk in and seat yourself, and the waitress comes right on over and takes your drink order. I don’t go there too often anymore because there are better diners in the area, but it’s a great choice for when I don’t feel like driving to Milford. It isn’t bad at all, but it’s not wonderful either!
