I’ve gone to this restaurant since I was a little girl and it was owned by the original«Buck.» I also have chosen it over local chains even though it was more expensive because I’ve never had to worry about quality. In the past month I’ve had 4 orders done wrong through the drive-thru! Unheard of in all these years of patronage! Two bag o’ burgers were labeled wrong and I delivered inedible food to two different households during Christmas week; i called it in and was told it would be written on the board and replaced. Then, this week I ordered 5 coneys with cheese but no onions on 4 because of health issues with raw onion. I called again because this spoiled another dinner and expressed my concern about the coneys and the burgers and was told the burger order had never been noted. They said it was noted now and to call when I wanted it replaced. So I ordered it tonight, reviewed it with the young man on the phone and, yes, it was wrong when it got here! I called and was treated like a liar and fast food thief and was told it wasn’t their fault! Evidently with change of owner quality is no longer important. Buyer beware… or go to the local chain: same food, less money and you expect it to be wrong thru the drive thru! Shame on them! I hope they take Buck’s name off and not tinge his good name and that of his son Bud, who are both heroes in our community.

Great service. Place is outdated nut that adds to the fun of it! The drive thru always takes a bit of time, but worth not having to cook! The blue cheese burger is so addicting! Garlic fries are topped with fresh garlic and sooo good too The only downside are the prices… But my family loves to support local businesses. And plan to come here when we are in 99th he mood

Great personal service. Servers have been there for years. Rootbeer floats are their speciality but have great curly fries, cheese curds and bacon ranch burgers. All around good american food. Inside is awesome with all the teams photos and jerseys they have supported over the years. Lot’s of history.

Traveling from CA; one of the best eating experiences during our trip! The ladies behind the counter are very sweet, helpful and efficient. The Rootbeer on tap was awesome, loved the cold frosty mugs! We will look for this place again in our travels.

Had business at the courthouse, then an hour to kill on 2−19−2015… «oh boy, I’ll go get something at Buck’s A&W!». I was shocked by the prices on the drive-thru menu(nearly $ 9.00 for a bacon-cheeseburger, medium-ish fries, and rootbeer) plus the fact I was the only patron at 4:15. As I sat at the window the server/cashier dropped my drink cup and when it came back into view her hand was inside it! I took the food back to the courthouse and discovered a smashed, wet, and VERY burned inedible sandwich to go with my contaminated drink, the fries were okay. I intended to bring the mess back but evening traffic(6:00) was backed up as far as I could see trying to get through P.O. so I opted not to fight that traffic. I was a polite customer so if they’d ruined the food on purpose I don’t know why. HUGE disappointment!

This is the only A&W that I can find with the BBQ Bacon Crunch burger. So good. Excellent service and a nice place to meet with friends.

One of the things I liked a lot about Buck’s A&W is you can feel that it is part of the community. Tons of old clippings, menus and things from schools, championships, etc. Has a great feel of that old hamburger stand from the 50’s. The root beer float is as delicious as it has ever been!

Two words: STEAKHOUSE! That is all you need to know, but if you want two more words, then Root Beer. Seriously. Been coming here off and on since I was a little boy, and I’m glad the place is still standing. Stay open forever, please.

50’s feel – fast food This is a place where nostalgia is served right along with the traditional A&W fare. There are lots of pictures of days gone by, as well as those of their sponsored teams. They must be very community oriented as they have LOTS of thank you letters posted. And, on Wednesdays, they host the local«Cruz» where restored automobiles are on display in the parking lot. The food is always good and fast although I don’t like ice in my Root Beer and they always seem to not listen when I order it without. Not a real problem as they dump it and pour me another. The pricing is a bit higher than McD’s and Burger King, but the food is tastier.
