LeMatidora Inn, a 4 story southern plantation styled inn. We specialize in providing our guests with a unique & unforgettable experience. LeMatidora Inn is your home away from home. When you’re here, you’re family! Our establishment provides great rooms, entertainment outlets, as well as convenience — all in a friendly & welcoming atmosphere. We strive at being the best at what we do & that is being hospitable & friendly. The first level is the lobby level. The lobby has a lounge, bar, fully-​stocked kitchen (open to guest’s use), dining areas, ice machine, & vending machines. We serve dinner at night, offer a complimentary breakfast in the morning, & will make lunch upon request. We also have a wide variety of entertainment: swimming pool (& waterfall), basketball court, pool table, dart board, & a kid’s corner (gaming center). There’s also an elevator, a gym, and gift shops. We also provide laundering services, housekeeping, & concierge services as well.

History

Established in 2007.

Malcolm J Lincoln, aka «Macky» built his family’s home in 1985. It had been the Lincoln’s home for over 20 years when Hurricane Katrina hit, destroying everything in its path. No one planned on moving back as all his children were away in college and Macky was happily relocated in belle chasse. But, Macky couldn’t bear to leave the home that he’d build for his family & shared so many wonderful memories in the dilapidated & rotting state that it now lie in. He decided to completely reconstruct it & re-​open it to the public, making his home — your home. He changed some of the building’s features to suit the needs of a public hotel but most of the building’s features were left the same, giving the customers a more laid-​back, «homely» feel. He wanted a place where people has access to everything and could make themselves at home. And, in 2007 that’s exactly what he did. He named the inn after his children: le (The), Ma (Malcolm), Ti (Timothy), & Dora (Dora) Inn. Your Home Away.

Dora Lincoln is Macky’s youngest child & only daughter. Dora graduated from Buras High School in 2003. She attented SLU for four years on a full-​paid scholarship, studying Early Childhood Education & Business. She also attended UNO for two years as well as Our Lady of Holy Cross College for one year. She had a son in 2011. And, in early 2012 took over LeMatidora Inn. Dora purchased LeMatidora Inn from her father, Macky, later the same year in 2012 and is still the current owner today.
