Three friends and I opened Magpie Alley as an impulse as an experiment for the summer, but we are having a grand time of it and will likely keep at it for the foreseeable future. It’s only taken me a half-century, but I think I may have found my calling. I love the history and the stories of the things we find for the store, but the best part is the people who come in to a place like this. They are the most interesting and interested sorts, many with areas of expertise. I’m learning new things everyday from the explorers that come through our door!
