2 Dine In

I want to emphasize how great this company is yet again. Tonight I ordered from Willows, a delicious pizza/​sandwich shop in South Portland. A medium two topping pizza, a large French fry and a Caesar salad came to $ 27 after all tips and fees. Barely 30 minutes later and the food arrived, smoking hot. In comparison, last week a large cheese pizza and Caesar from Otto was about the same price after tip. It took 1.5 hours and was cold, and the salad was limp.
While it can get pricey solo, 2dinein is the perfect delivery service for couples or friends. Highly recommended.

Snowing out, Friday night, what better time to use this service. At Checkout only option was for delivery the next day. WTF? Called customer service to see if this was an error. No answer. Left message asking for a call back. No call back.
I would be hard pressed to even remotely recommend this company. You live in Maine, know it snows in the winter and when it snows people will PAY a premium for delivery. So you think you would be able to deliver on delivery.

Quick and convenient… In fact i timed them, eta was 1 hr 5 mins, they arrived in 28 mins! Thank you for finally allowing me more than pizza!

I love this service. With 3 kids, sometimes I just want food to come to me, but I don’t always want pizza or Chinese! Fortunately these guys deliver a wide variety, from Indian to Italian, my wife and I can always find something we are in the mood for. Just make sure to tip the driver, as that is not included in your checkout price.

If you live in Texas but want to surprise your best friend who lives in Maine — use 2 Dine In! I’ve heard all about SLAB from my BFF, and I thought it would be a pretty good anniversary gift. I was able to schedule the delivery in advance, and because I’m so Type A, I called and left a message with them to see if the delivery was going smoothly. The owner, Mike, called me RIGHT back to confirm. My bff and her husband said the delivery person was very kind. I definitely recommending using 2dinein!

Great app… I’ve used it at least ten times… no issues… prompt courteous service… no deliver issues… no delays… no cold food… you pay about a ten % food markup on their menus… plus a delivery fee… plus a driver tip… so expect about a 25% surcharge from in dining prices… if you’re good with that… which I am as the convenience is awesome… then this is your app… adding additional restaurants all the time… about 30 as I write this

Oh, the concept of 2 Dine In delights my introverted foodie soul in ways I can’t begin to explain. That I can order my favorite foods from my favorite restaurants without EVER having to put pants on and leave the house? Yes, please. That I ONLY have to pay an additional $ 5.00 delivery fee? Yes, please. That the online ordering system is impossibly EASY? Yes, please. It seriously reminds me of my time living abroad when takeaway of all types is so much more commonplace.
Participating restaurants include: Slab, Tandoor, Green Elephant, Susan’s Fish & Chips, Po’ Boys, Nosh, Jimmy The Greek’s, Flatbread, Blue Rooster Co., Benkay and many, many more. The options to order from are plentiful, and if you and your significant other are both craving something different for dinner — NO PROBLEM. It’s just an additional $ 5 delivery fee for anywhere else the driver needs to stop to pick up your food.
Things you should know:
1. It’s a $ 25 minimum order for lunch.
2. It’s a $ 15 minimum order for dinner.
3. The first time you order through them, you’ll have to call to verify your account.
When I ordered the first time, I scheduled my food to arrive a few hours later. And bang on the mark, it arrived! Yay for that.
The only thing I didn’t love about my experience with 2 Dine In was the actual food I ordered — which I know has nothing to do with them, but still… it kind of does and should be noted. I’ve eaten at Taj Indian in SoPo before. I LOVED IT. I raved about it. It was the best Indian food I had eaten in the state of Maine. But what I got from them the other night through my 2 Dine In order was… lackluster. Our orders of paneer tikka masala were basically buckets of very thin tomato soup. I counted maybe six pieces of paneer in one of the portions, and eight in another. This was NOT the thick, creamy, chunky-​with-​cheese paneer tikka masala we have when we physically go into the restaurant. Our naans were also burned. While I don’t blame 2 Dine In for this, it did make me wonder if the restaurants participating in their program care less about takeaway orders when they a) never even see the customers face and b) don’t get tipped. Truthfully, this had been my first time trying Taj Indian — I would never eat there again.
Will I use 2 Dine In again? Yes. Definitely. We’ll just have to see which restaurants still serve top quality food at their normal portion size that they would in their space.

Have not had a bad experience yet and I would say I use them every two weeks. Easy to order, tip and pay on the iPad. Food comes hot, and on time — they knock on the door, hand you your food and off they go. It usually takes about an hour and they have never been over the online delivery estimate. Sometimes when you are tired and don’t feel like going out it’s a good choice. Also, plenty of restaurants to choose from, we usually do zen or the green elephant.

Great selection with lots of options for delivery time. They have always been as expected, on time, and doesn’t seem like the food has been sitting. As someone who gets stuck at work for a LONG time (average 80/​hrs a week!) this place has been a life saver for the group of us who are working. Yes, its a bit of added expense for a single person to order, but with a few people, its actually very little extra!

Awesome food delivery service for a lot of local restaurants. Great for when you’re stuck at work or the weather is keeping you from wandering outside. Benkay, Bonobo, Bucks, Nosh, and Green elephant are just a few of the places. The online ordering interface makes it pretty easy. It’s a little added expense than just going to the restaurant and picking up the food yourself, but the convenience is totally worth it.
