Consigning at STA was a breeze! I booked an appointment on Monday for Wednesday morning without a problem. I had well over 75 items, and the woman buying that day was incredibly helpful. She looked through more than five large bags of clothes in under an hour. She let also me know why she couldn’t take certain items(labels, seasonal demand, style, etc.) and even referred me to a local vintage shop for some of my older pieces and menswear. It was all great feedback! I will always go to STA for consigning. Bonus: they have a great options for getting your money, and you can check your balance online!

This is a review for selling items at STA and its customer service. I’ve had lots of experience selling items in consignment stores(Buffalo Exchange, Cross Roads and Plato’s Closet). However, this is my first time selling at STA. Their system is different as the seller only receive funds for their items after they are sold. This slows down the entire process and also makes it more troublesome. I also found making an appointment tedious as no one picked up the many times I called the store number. I ended up dropping in and made an appointment that way. STA only had an opening two weeks later, so that was annoying too. I peeped over at her sheet and saw that she only had 3 appointments per day. While I understand STA is a «one man store,» I hope to see the«selling» process streamlined in a more efficient manner.

I’m incredibly attracted to consignment shops; I love good deals and I love designer labels at lower prices. Although with my sensitive skin, I require a particularly good washing of these clothes before wearing. Let me note that you cannot rid a spirit with Tide detergent. He He Just scaring you. This store is a third of the size of the NY NoHo location, but it still manages to pack a good punch worth of inventory. It had a lot of good items that piqued my interest, but only a small portion in my size. More expensive than your average consignment shop, it was still more inexpensive than its NY counterpart. The colored tags make everything simpler to calculate pre-register visit. I picked up a nifty jacket from here, and was so very close to snagging a Rachel Roy hot pink #. Too bad it was a tad too short for me. Ladies: when unsure, SITDOWN on a chair. If your Hoo-Ha is showing, let the dress go. It’s not worth it– no matter how pretty it is standing up. I won’t lie; I still dream about that dress. Happy 200.

Love this place. Today I found two pairs of Lucky Brand Jeans and a cute black sweater. Recently, I was at the mall, looking for some clothes, and I was appalled at how ugly and cheaply made everything was. And for many other reasons, I have decided to only buy clothing from local shops or Goodwill. Luckily, this shop has some really cute finds. My husband and son got tired of waiting for me, so I didn’t check out the sweaters. I need to go back!

this consignment shop is small, but they usually have some pretty good finds. and they do a gradual mark-down on their goods, so every week different color tags up to 50% off. they have a few more stores in MA, as well. this Second Time Around location loses a star for their relatively small selection of larger sizes, tho.
