Floral designer Leanne Lovie gives creates beautiful floral designs for weddings, funerals, everyday gifting, and other events. The advantage of working with a floral studio is the level of personal attention the designer is able to give each client, ensuring each arrangement is made with the customers preferences and intent in mind.

A Lovie Cration is also committed to supporting local and sustainable flower growing practices. We always choose to source our flowers from the most local sources possible. The majority of the flowers that are used in our designs are grown in Oregon, Washington or California. On rare occasions we use Veriflora certified imported flowers when something cannot be replaced with a similar local variety. We feel that by doing these thing we can not only have flowers that never weigh on your conscious, and flowers that reflect the changing seasons and connect us with the natural world.

History

Established in 2012.

A Lovie Creation started off as a partnership between floral designer Leanne Lovie and Main Street Mercantile, a charming antique store in downtown Gresham. Leanne is inspired by nature and designed her business around the importance of supporting local flower grower. Sadly, the Mercantile closed it’s doors in 2013, but Leanne has continued to provide her customers with beautiful arrangements from her home studio in Milwaukie.

Leanne graduated from High School knowing one thing about her future — that she wanted to design. After studying graphic design, and interior design, she fell in love with the living beauty and three dimensionality of floral design. She trained at the Floral Design Institute here in Portland and worked at several area shops before A Lovie Creation was created to celebrate the budding local flower movement.

As a designer, I find my inspiration in my clients as well as our beautiful Pacific Northwest landscape. I love to do custom work and create something special for my customers. Whenever I work I keep who the flowers are for and what I know about them in mind. I even google obituaries for funeral orders!
