What a strange little place. And trust me, I mean that in the absolute best way. Okay, let me start again. Have you seen Return To Oz? There’s a scene set in what has become a dilapidated Emerald City where all the citizens have been turned to stone, and I swear this place was one Tinman away from me running from the wheelers and winding up tic toc.(They had the stone cowardly lion covered.) But I digress. You won’t find a cheaper bird bath in Portland. While the quality wasn’t the best I saw on my bird bath pilgrimage, I can honestly say that A-One’s selection was far and away the most prolific. And bird baths were just the beginning. The aforementioned statues were as unique as they were plentiful. A toga’ed man straining to hold a pitcher of water above his head? Perhaps exactly what your garden has always needed to really come alive. Although I’d lean more toward the benches, fountains, planters and garden variety gnomes, if a giant smiling face with a large lizard and a tiny cactus on his forehead is what you seek, you shall find it here. Here’s a cool tidbit: the owners are also the artists and all of their work is done onsite. Just coming by for a visit is cool in itself — as I started with, this is a strange little place that’s worth the adventure.(Unless you’re still recovering from watching Return To Oz. Because then it will be immensely terrifying.)

What an excellent find. My wife and I were liking for fountain for our backyard however we were disappointed with what we could find in the box stores. It was either too expensive or of poor quality. Driving past on division we stumbled upon this shop and will never go anywhere else again for fountains or sculptures. It’s all made locally and sold for prices that are very fair. The staff helped us put together different options until we found the perfect combination. They also loaded it into our car and gave maintenance instructions. I can’t believe I almost spent the same amount at a box store for a fountain that I kinda liked when I now have one that I love. I recommend you check this store out. My understanding is that if you can’t find it there, they can also make stuff to order.

Prices here are competitive with mass produced stuff made in China, etc., yet it’s all made right here on Division Street. The bird bath I bought in about 1997 at his old location is still in good shape. Most recently I bought a statue for my dad this spring. You can get all kinds of statues in addition to bird baths. There are some really cool animal statues, including cats, deer, lions. They also have religious themed works, both Christian and Eastern religions.

Wonderful fountains, garden statues, bird baths, and other yard décor at a reasonable, affordable price. Not only that, the owners are artists who put a lot of love into their work — making the molds for, and casting all the cement pieces right there in the back studio, which is cool to be able to see. Stefan helped me with a custom fountain for our back yard. He was really nice and helpful, and made the fountain basin for me within a day. Now the fountain is a lovely addition — cheering up the corner of our yard :).

This is a funky yard full of statuary, fountains and yard art. I stopped by an number of times before finding them open for business, seem if you wait around for them to return there are discounts to be had. Placed through the yard are a variety of different styled sculptural elements, cement deer, gnomes, pets, tables, benches and water features. Under cover and be hind a usually open gate there are a couple of guys working up wet cement and casting their creations. Pretty cool.
