At Amaryllis Salon we are all independent contractors who specialize in different things. We offer mens haircuts, women’s haircuts, kids haircuts, color, texture, extensions, up do’s, blowouts, and facial waxing!

History

Established in 2012.

After working as a commission stylist for many years I decided to take the next step and open my own salon. Along with some amazing friends and fellow stylists Amaryllis is now a fun loving salon with a wonderful homey environment that I so wanted to work at!

My name is Hannah and I’ve been a stylist for 10 years now. I’m married with two kids who keep me on my toes! I love it! I have worked in the NW area the entire time and just love this neighborhood. I decided to open a salon so that I could create the environment that I want to be in. I was inspired to be a hairstylist by Dolly Parton in the movie Steel Magnolias. I loved that all the women would make themselves at home and chit chat and just enjoy the whole experience of getting their hair done! I want people to feel at home when they walk in including men and kids!

Had a cut/​style today with Megan. She totally rocked it. I went in with a shaggy, mop that had been through a pregnancy and nearly through my kiddos infancy. She made this sleep deprived lady feel like a million bucks. She came highly recommended and I in turn highly recommend Megan. What a freaking treat. Thanks!

Found a deal on groupon and made an appointment to see Haley. As a new mom it takes alot to get out of the house and have me time. Needless to say I was more than dissapointed when i waited for a half n hour just to have her not show up, return phone calls, or texts. I do not recommend using groupon for any service with this stylist. However the salon seemed nice and everyone else there is probably ok. but I am not going to be back.

I’ve been seeing Haley for about four years now. She continues to impress and surprise me with her talents. She keeps my hair looking fresh and healthy with very little effort on my part. She takes great care in giving me precise cuts, and she colors my hair in a way that suits my style and complexion. I’ve never been comfortable telling stylists to do whatever they want with my hair, but with her it’s different. She really takes the time to know her clients and their tastes. I just sit down and let her work and walk away feeling better than I imagined I could! Also, she puts the health of my hair first. Somehow even though we continue to drastically shift the color of it, it never feels dry or dull. She is the best. I’m never seeing anyone else!

Holly is super sweet and like the other reviewers, I found her via Groupon. She did an amazing job with the cut and color. Very thorough with her explanations of what she was doing with my hair and why. I got highlights. Love them. She did exactly what I wanted and even was able to correct (improve) upon previously poorly done (from another salon) highlights.

Holly was very professional and communicative. She was respectful of my time and did an excellent job with my hair. I appreciated that the salon didn’t smell like chemicals while I was there, despite the fact that a woman was getting her hair dyed right next to me. I think it’s due to their use Bumble bumble (Bb) products.
While she honored the Groupon pricing, I don’t think she ended up doing a deep conditioning treatment because it wasn’t in my hair for very long and she didn’t use heat, which has been my past experience with deep conditioning. I should have asked about it but I got distracted with our conversation.
As for the location, St. Honore and a food coop are right across the street. The public library is about a block away. This neighborhood is very walker-​friendly and there are so many lovely houses along NW 24th.

Found a deal on Groupon. New to area and establishing myself with all new services. Holly was terrific. Great listener who is clearly passionate about her trade. Great suggestions based on what I voiced I wanted. I love my color/​highlights and she did a great job shaping up my «do» with her super sharp shears! Fun morning. I will definitely be back! Thanks Holly.

Megan has been doing my hair for years. At this point I just make the appointment and show up. I trust her to cut and color me according to the current trends. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair.
