Amy is simply fabulous! She came to our home, and truly set us at ease, managed and delighted in our very curious and spirited seven year old budding artist son, got great pictures that really «got» our family life AND left me with several good professional headshots I can use. I highly highly recommend her. I think she is talented, very relatable and lovely!

I was so surprised to have read the one star review on here!!! I think photographers have a really hard job, in the sence that it seems like everyone wants photos for free… I am in the beauty industry and have worked with MANY photogs. And it is always appalling how clients just expect these people to give their work away. THEY ARE PRFESSIONALS!!! This is their job! If you want a digital gallery of photos for free ask your friend to do it, or use the ones from the four hours of unwrapping presents Christmas morning… YOU CAN HAVE THOSE FOR FREE. Maybe 2 of them (out of the four hours) will be OK but none of them will capture the moment like this photographer will. A sitting session does not mean you are going to get photos for FREE. It is, most of the time, an hourly rate. Done. And you BUY photos from there. Very simple. Sorry to go off on a tangent. I just came here to tell about my WONDERFUL experience with Amy McMullen Photography and read that lousy review and wished there was an ignorant button I could have pushed at the bottom of it. Anyway… On to my review!
My family had a session with Amy and we were thrilled with the out come!!! Not only the out come, but the session was really fun and enjoyable. I usually feel so wonky and false/​posed in front of a camera, but Amy really put us at ease and actually caught the true essence of our family. The prints were gorgeous!!! And I felt like our family and our memories were more than worth the investment. Amy is really gifted in her craft. She has an intuition about the whole thing. She is able to strike right before the magic and catch it in that little black box of hers… The moments that most of us say, «oh! That WAS beautiful, do it again!» and then it is to late. She is more like, «got it!»
Really I could not have more complimentary things to say about Amy or her business practices. She was promt and organized. I was happy to be supporting such a talented, genuine woman. It is small businesses like this one and people like Amy that make me feel like PEOPLE ARE GOOD! That is it. I believe it in my heart. And it is nice to have that confirmed by meeting people like this along the way. Thank you Amy, it was lovely to have met you. I Look forward to many more sessions in the future as our family grows.

I don’t like getting my picture taken. Having a portrait sitting is almost as painful as getting teeth extracted. However, when the photographer makes you smile, feel beautiful and can click away without making a photophobe aware there were clicks at all, that photographer has a gift. Amy McMullen is a lovely and talented photographer. I love the portraits she took of me and I’ll use them for years to come. Amy has taken pictures for many of my friends and their families and I would trust her to document my most special moments.

Amy has a special talent for capturing my kids’ personalities… not sure how she does it, but somehow she gets «that» shot that makes my heart melt, everytime. She somehow manages to capture all three together (ages 3 – 9, not an easy task!) and gets the photo that describes exactly that moment… so I know I’ll be able to look back when they are all grown up and have a real sense of this time when they are little ones. What more could one ask from a photograph? Amy has a real gift. See for yourself!

Amy Mcmullen Photography took our holiday photos this year and they turned out stunning. I am obsessed with the work of annie leibovitz so i took an annie photo to amy to see if she would be willing to shoot our family in a similar pose. Amy totally supported my request, even though she is the expert, and it turned out stunningly. Amy is amazing with children and her work is gorgeous and UNIQUE. We have used her the last two holidays and will continue to do so. We are so thankful to have found her…

Wow and I need more stars is all I can say! I love the photos Amy took of my oldest daughter, Lyla. The pictures are amazingly beautiful, capture Lyla’s personality and the tender «tween» years so perfectly! Lyla can be shy, but not with Amy… she loved every minute of that photo shoot and immediately asked «when can we do this again?» Thank you Amy… next up THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Amy was paid in full to perform a 4 session job. The package was for pregnant, newborn, 6 mos. and one year photos. When we asked about buying all the digital photos Amy was offended that we didn’t want to print hundreds of dollars of photos so she fired us and kept the money for all 4 sessions. We insisted on buying the digitals as they contained some nudes. She promised to give us all the photos from the session and then again chose not to. When asked about a refund for the 3 sessions not performed we were advised to see a lawyer. I highly recommend looking for another photographer who can provide services promissed.
