Have had nothing but great experiences coming into AniA. Bought my wedding dress in June with the help of Kayla. She did a wonderful job listening to exactly what I wanted and found the most perfect gown! Once my dress came in I was able to come in and try MY dress with all the bells and whistles. Kayla is amazing at her job, assisted with accessories and also let me just hang out in my dress for as long as I wanted. Would recommend this shop to anyone who is trying to find their perfect dress!

I had a fantastic experience at Ania– Sophie was so helpful and found us a GORGEOUS dress well below our budget. I have yet to to the alterations– but if they are on par with the service I have rec’d already, I know it will be wonderful! Highly recommend for selection, ambiance, customer service, longevity of the business, and price.

I worked with a couple different ladies and all were wonderful. They were excited for me and listened to what I wanted, what l liked and what I did not want. never once did I feel pressured, and I went in 3 times before I ended up purchasing my dress.
I also used their recommended seamstress Susan, and she was AMAZING. I highly recommend both AniA and Susan if you are buying a dress.

I live in Seattle and decided to do some online research and then make some appointments to try on wedding dresses with my bridal party at various places in Portland. I had already visited 3 other bridal shops in other cities prior to coming to Ania but I hadnt fell in love with a dress or stylist. When we walked in Ania we were immediately greeted and made to feel extremely special, even on a Saturday when they were busy! We were given a seat and served champagne. That was a nice touch! Our appointment started a little late but honestly we didnt care because the staff acknowledged us and made us feel comfortable. Once we were introduced to our stylist, Sophie, she took us to a private area in the back room and again apologized for running a little late (Im talking like 10 minutes late, not even that much). She asked all the right questions! I have to say it was night and day difference compared to other boutiques I visited. She asked to look at my Pinterest, past photos of dresses I liked, didnt like, etc. She brought in a few dresses to try, and honestly, every dress pretty much nailed what I was looking for (I would assume this was because she asked so many questions before just throwing me in a dress)! After a few attempts she removed some dresses (based on my feedback from the other dresses) brought the final two and I fell in love with both! Sophie made me feel like a superstar, voiced her opinion when needed, did not make me feel pressured, and most important, kept my desires and budget in mind! I would highly recommend Sophie and Ania for your wedding needs!

I had a GREAT experience shopping here for my own wedding dress and for my friend’s wedding dress and for a bridesmaid dress for my friend’s wedding. They have an awesome collection, with dresses starting around $ 1000. (There’s a really good selection in the $ 1000-​$ 1400 price-​range.) I bought an Allure Bridal gown that I’m just in love with — high-​quality beading, and just the right amount of pouf in the skirt. No complaints at all!

I came to Ania’s because of a recommendation from a friend. We had the place to ourselves, which was nice, because I could totally see it feeling a bit crowded. I was paired up with Shelley.
Shelley was amazing. She was an excellent listener and brought me dresses that I loved! Although I didn’t find my dress here, Shelley was full of suggestions and didn’t make me feel pressured throughout the process. She really heard my feedback and with each new dress she suggested we got closer to the target (and all within my budget!!). She was helpful in suggesting accessories as we tried to envision my complete look.
I highly recommend Ania Collection.

I said yes to the dress yesterday at Ania collection. My consultant, Kelly, was amazing!!! She really took the time to listen to me and tried her best to match my needs. In the end, I picked the dress that I had had my eye on for some time. She was so helpful and assured me that if I had any questions or wanted to try the sample dress on again to show more friends, I could. Must importantly, I love the fact that once my dress comes in, it can stay at the salon the whole time. I will not have to worry about luging it to alterations and such. My over all experience was amazing! I felt comfortable and at ease. I had been to two other bridal salons prior and just did not feel that connection with my consultant and felt pressured. At Ania’s I didn’t not. We were welcomed with open arms and left feeling comfortable and confident in my choice. I would recommend anyone who is getting married to shop at Ania’s collection! They made making the hard choice of choosing the dress, super easy!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at AniA Collection. Kayla helped me find exactly what I was looking for after visiting 6 or 7 other dress shops and being let down. I didn’t want the typical wedding dress and after looking at my Pinterest board and talking to me about what I envisioned for my wedding day, Kayla found me a beautiful dress, which was actually an occasion dress, so it came in much lower than my budget! She was able to think outside of the box and find me exactly what I wanted! I realized after that this was what the other dress shops were lacking. Another plus, everyone was nice and welcoming. I felt very comfortable being there, which if you’ve done a lot of wedding dress shopping you know isn’t always the case. And they didn’t push me to buy a dress that day. I did, but they didn’t push me to it! Pretty much, if you are in the Portland area and are looking for a wedding dress, I highly recommend AniA Collection. You will find what you are looking for!

I can’t imagine anyone had a bad experience here! I want to make sure I give a extra special shout out to my consultant: Kelly. This was the third bridal shop I went to, and I was beginning to worry the type of dress I wanted just didn’t exist. When I described it to Kelly (light, danceable, not lacey), she didn’t seem phased. She didn’t bring a single dress I didn’t love. The first dress I tried was the one I left with. She kept me calm and collected the whole time, which was not easy. In addition, when I went for my fitting, the dress didn’t fit correctly. This wasn’t due to mis-​measuring nor me gaining weight, it was just a funny dress. While I began sweating, Kelly kept me calm and ensured me it would be fixed, even if I needed a whole new dress. The dress is amazing and Ania was incredible. Don’t skip it and ask for Kelly.

I spent an amazing 2 hours with Lauren today and was SO impressed! I had my first dress appointment at another boutique in Portland a few weeks ago and found a dress I liked but just couldn’t seem to say yes to. I went into Ania today on a whim last minute and walked out with a dress ordered. Lauren listened to what I wanted and pulled the dresses I had asked to try on, but as I went through them she heard what I was saying about my likes and dislikes and pulled new ones based on what she heard. As we went through dresses it was as if Lauren was leading me to my dress. She knew the collections and styles and knew what dress had what combinations of fit, material, style, etc. I would not have found my dress without Lauren’s help, I would recommend Ania to any bride.

I had the most amazing experience today! Kayla was very patient and helpful. She never seemed frustrated or annoyed. She listened to all my ideas and brought dresses accordingly. I felt very comfortable and at home there! I definitely recommend them! And I found my dress!

I bought my dress this last Saturday at AniA collection and had the most wonderful experience. Lindsay was my consultant and she was amazing. She made me feel confident and comfortable the whole time. She listened to everything that I had mentioned, style and price range were totally considered and I never felt pressured. I can’t wait to go back for fittings!

This place was awesome! Big selection, helpful staff, they didn’t pressure me at all to buy a dress. I would suggest going during the week if at all possible. It’s a lot more private and less hectic.

I’ve now had 2 less than stellar experienced as Ania: first while trying on my wedding dress and again while looking for bridesmaids dresses. I worked with 2 different bridal attendants and found each of them to demonstrate mediocre customer service. But, the second experience was worse and my attendant, Kelly, lacked all customer service skills, didn’t introduce herself and opened with, «Are you looking for style or color?» I had to prompt her for her name.
She was cold and gave me the impression she had other places she’d rather be. She also lacked capacity to think ahead and get creative as we quickly ran out of solutions. She wanted to wrap it up and not problem solve. I felt like she really didn’t care at all. I was relieved to leave and not spend my money there.

Went in for an appointment and Olivia was so wonderful to work with. She was patient, helpful and really helped guide the bride toward the perfect dress for her big day. Loved the Champaign too! Thanks Olivia!

I bought my wedding dress from AniA Collection about 9 months ago and my experience as well as every experience with then since has been wonderful! My mother and I came in without an appointment just to look around and they were so nice they even let me try a dress on really quick! We booked an appointment and came back a week later. This time my appointment was with Olivia. We were given champagne and were shown to a private place in the back. Olivia was so awesome she showed me 4 different dresses around my budget and I ended up purchasing the very first one I tried on. Olivia knew exactly what I was looking for (even if I didn’t lol). Iv’e been back in several times to look at accessories, veils, for a couple fittings and it’s always a treat going back. The whole team is super sweet. I only wish I had another reason to go back after my wedding ;)

This is a hard review to write. This is the ONLY wedding vendor I’m reviewing that I’m not giving 5 stars. What a strange, rollercoaster experience I had with this place.
So — I bought my wedding gown from this boutique. I went in with two friends. The woman who helped me was friendly but VERY strange. Her teeth were COVERED in lipstick and she sounded SO fake. «Oh my GOOOODDDDDDDDDD!!! This dress is SOOOOOOO!!! CUUUUUUUTTTEEEEEE!!!», etc., etc. She offered us champagne and then realized that she only had enough for one glass, which she gave to me. Well, turns out there was only one glass because it was the last few drops in a bottle that had clearly been opened days ago because it was flat as hell.
Anyway, my friends and I were cracking up at the whole situation but at the end of the day, I got a Jim Hjelm dress that was originally about $ 4000 for $ 1000 (it was from quite a few seasons back). I knew it would be beautiful but needed a LOT of tailoring. Well, I was working with this one tailor who was GREAT in person — friendly and did wonderful work. But could not be LESS responsive. She would NEVER call or email me back — I could only set appointments if she happened to answer the phone when I called. There were like, 9 times I was furstrated with her, but decided to stick with her because she was halfway through the tailoring and she WAS doing a good job. Anyway, at the end of this nightmare, I go to pick up my dress the DAY before I’m leaving for my wedding and it’s NOT DONE. And they KNEW when I needed it and exactly what they were supposed to have finished up. I threw a polite but stern fit. In the end, they didn’t charge me for the tailoring (which probably would have cost me a few hundred because I’d had quite a few fittings). The whole thing was just… sad. The tailor didn’t get paid for her work (which WAS good) but I deserved to get the dress for free because the whole experience was such a mess.
Blah.

I ultimately had to do alterations on my own dress the day of the wedding, and then had to be cut out of the dress at the end of the night. But I’m still giving this place 4 stars, and here’s why…
Shopping: I made an appointment, and I can see why they’re necessary. This place is busy! I also brought only my mom with me (who is my fav shopping buddy), so we were pretty low-​maintenance. Morgan was our consultant, and she was amazing! She listened to exactly what I said and kept narrowing it down until we found the perfect dress.
Buying: When Morgan measured me for the dress, it turns out my bust, waist & hips were all different sizes. Not my fault, but also not the dressmaker’s fault. She advised we order closer to the large end, and in retrospect, I think we should have ordered one size down. When the dress arrived it was HUGE!
Tailoring: None of the tailors work for Ania; there are just some that the shop recommends and allows to conduct appointments in the salon. I don’t really love this policy because it lets the shop wash its hands of responsibility once the dress arrives. They recommended Julie.
Julie put me in the dress & pinned it the way it was supposed to fit… and that’s when we found some problems. The lace appliqué on the chest was completely uneven, and the dart on the left boob was screwed up & oddly pointy. (For those who watch Arrested Development, I looked like Kitty in the bar scene with Michael). If we’d found these problems right when the dress came in, we could have sent it back to the manufacturer & made them fix it. But the gal had just clipped the dress to make it look right, so I had no idea there was a problem, and now I had to pay to have it fixed. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone ask for a tailor to be there the first time you try on your dress.
The tailoring was a nightmare, but Julie was a badass. She basically took my size 6 dress down to a ²⁄₄. There were only two tiny problems…
The day of my wedding, I pulled my dress out of the bag only to realize Julie sewed the corner of the cup insert to the back strap, instead of the front. I’m sure it was an honest mistake. But I couldn’t physically put on the dress if I couldn’t find a way to fix it. Fortunately, I had some tiny scissors & an aunt who always has a needle & thread.
At the end of the night when I went to take my dress off, it wouldn’t unzip. After my husband and two bridesmaids gave it their all, the zipper started to pull apart & I had to be cut out of the dress. We snipped the zipper in two tiny spots & ripped it open. I am still so sad about this. Unless I go back and have the zipper replaced, there is no way I will ever be able to put my wedding dress on again.
Bottom line:
Was buying the dress fun? Yes.
Can I really blame Morgan for wanting to make sure I actually fit in the dress I ordered? No.
Did the ladies at Ania answer every request I made? Yes.
Can I blame Ania for problems originating with the manufacturer? No.
Did I feel/​look great in the dress on my wedding day? Yes.
Does anything else really matter? No.

Relatively good selection of dresses. Sales associates were nice. My initial draw was Claire Pettibone. The space could stand a face lift.
My real issue is with the tailor that they recommended. Jennifer (the tailor) was notoriously late and even cancelled over text message an hour before one of our appointments. The staff at AniA said this was typical and shrugged it off… then why recommend her?
Even more disappointing was the final fit of the gown. She had tailored the back to be lower (per my request), but had not made adjustments anywhere else. She told me I should use double sided tape for the gapping on the sides. The top part of the back of my dress wouldn’t stay buttoned during our wedding so our coordinator eventually had to zip tie it together.
Not exactly what you expect from a «recommended» tailor.
AniA gave me a free veil because of all of the issues I had with Jennifer. Thanks? A fee veil doesn’t take away from the fact that I wasn’t happy with an expensive gown’s final fit.
Go to browse and if you find something you love, do not work with Jennifer. I would even hesitate to work with tailors that they recommend.
