Chicken tarragon crêpe was quite dry and lacking in flavor. Mid way through the crêpe I found one of the chef’s hairs! That’s pretty nasty! Service was fine, server was nice and attentive. The problem is in the kitchen. Until they fix that issue we will not be back!

I used to love getting breakfast here with my gf. The variety on the menu always kept us coming back and we would always be happy with the quality of food. I guess what ruined it for us was undertrained personnel and rude owners. While the menu clearly states«facon» for veggie sub, my assumption is that a waitress would pick that up no problem. She didn’t, and it came loaded with meat. No problemo. I asked to make it vegetarian as I ordered previously because my gf wouldn’t eat meat at all. Instead of admitting the mistake, the waitress comes back with the owner trying to get us to pay for the order. — «What’s the problem here?» — «We asked for a vegetarian sub but instead got regular bacon, can we get this exchanged for what we asked for?» — «First you need to pay for that plate» — «But it doesn’t make sense. We didn’t even make a bite.» — «Well, how about you pay for half, and we’ll replace it?» — «No, I don’t think we need to pay for any of it. We’ll just pay for one that we shared and we’ll be on our way. Bring the bill please.» (Huffing and puffing) «Okay!» Never had so much trouble trying to get an owner to make things right. These folks have real problems with customer service.

The food was mediocre and the service attitude was bizarre. As previous reviewers have also experienced, they had us wait for 20 minutes for a table for two while there were three empty four tops from the time we arrived until we left. Very poor concern for customers.

Visited this place for brunch on a Sunday. Great outside shaded seating area. They have a lot of great options on their menu including gluten free. I ordered a crêpe called The Figgy and it was delicious on the buckwheat. My partner got the apple maple bacon one also delicious. Service was great. I would definitely return.

I’d been meaning to stop in and eat here since it opened as I live right around the corner. Food was well prepared with quality ingredients. My son and I ordered a second of each of our crepes. The only criticism I have is I didn’t feel the staff was very friendly… Maybe Sunday mornings are tough and I caught them after a rush. I get it being as I’m in the business(chef). Thanks guys you’ll be seeing me again.

Hey Unilocal people! My friend and I were hungry for a light breakfast and found ourselves in the sellwood neighborhood. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves… and it was a nice warm morning so we had a choice of sitting inside or out. We were offered a window seat but since it was only a two top(smaller table) I asked the server if we could sit at a larger table. She seemed to balk at our request briefly but we were both smiling at her(and i asked very nicely), so she let us sit at the larger table. :-) We ordered coffee and strawberry crepes, which were delicious… very light fluffy and chock FULL of juicy strawberries. The service was flawless and we found the service to be delightful. 4 stars(which i dont give out that often unless im really impressed). We will be back!

This place is awesome! The food was to die for. Our waitress Tori was very sweet and attentive. Both of our plates were only 7 Bucks! Great coffee from Blue kangaroo. All the tables have fresh flowers on them and it’s just a bright and happy environment :) I can’t wait to go back!

Delish ! I had to eat both savory and sweet crepes they were absolutely excellent can’t wait to go back and try more the buckwheat batter is fantastic everything is cooked to perfection and their service was great. they now have new hours were they open a little earlier than 11 a.m. I believe its 9 but that’s super great because I tried to go before for brunch and I wasn’t able to so I’m really excited that I can go earlier since I’m an early bird yay formation.

It’s been a few weeks since I ate here, and the service experience still makes me scratch my head. First, I love a savory crêpe. And I was drooling a bit, thinking about the chicken and tarragon crêpe, and pleased as punch to see the tomato tart on the menu as well. At first, my server was friendly – in an alternate universe kind of way. It felt forced and strange, which got weirder later. I was the only person in at lunchtime when I initially walked in. I was seated at a three-top table(this is important to note for later.) But after I had ordered, I asked if I could move to the two-top window seat. She was visibly disturbed my request but passive-aggressively and begrudgingly allowed me to move.(In this time, I’ve been joined by a couple of ladies at the restaurant.) The ladies stood at the front where the server greeted them. They explained that they had a third person coming but didn’t know when she’d arrive. The server said THATSHECOULDN’T SEATTHEMUNTILTHEIR3RDPERSONARRIVED. Remember, the whole restaurant is empty but for me. The women were puzzled and asked why and the server explained that the restaurant could fill up in any second with folks and that was their policy. When they asked if she could make an exception, the server haughtily repeated herself. Now I’m more uncomfortable than EVER. The women then asked to speak to the owner. I expected a resolution to this obvious misunderstanding about policy versus… I dunno… the REALITY of the situation. But, I was disappointed to watch the owner repeat the same words as the server. Even as the women explained that they were repeat clientele and had never heard of this before. [The owner] was as equally unmoving, brusque, and insensitive as the server. So what happened next? You guessed it, the women were seated at TWO-TOP until their third arrived. Only then were they moved to a table to accommodate all of them. THEYPUTMETATATHREE-TOPWHENIWASFIRSTSEATED. I felt like I should have said something to the women – to let them know that they were the sane people in the room and that the unprovoked aggressive mannerisms by the staff/owner was not right. By the time I left, only one more table had walked in. I’d tell you about the food(it was good, hence the additional star) but I don’t want you to have to see/experience the service here. Maybe get it to go if you want to give them your business?

While in Portland, I decided to check out a place to get some crepes. The Arugularium popped up with high reviews, so I decided to check it out. Pros: — It’s a well laid out/designed restaurant. — It pays attention to cleanliness. — The crepes are delicious. Cons: — The service was a bit uptight and dry. — While delicious, one of our crepes was tough on the bottom. Also keep in mind, the crepes are a bit more conventional than westernized. If you’re used to crepes taking like a mix between cardboard and pancakes, be prepared to have a bit more of an eggy taste and texture.

I’ll ad another half too. 2.5. I am writing this review a few days after I took some time to think about what I want to say in a tactful and respectful way. The food is wonderful. The service is awkward and truthfully really uncomfortable. I have been here a few times and each time the place is next to empty, but because they have a rule, that is normally used for busy rushes, I as not able to sit until my friend was there. There were two of us in an empty restaurant and we had to wait. Then we asked to sit at a larger table to get work done while we ate, but the server refused and said that they save them for large parties… Well alright. We were the only people there. They have a great product, but this restaurant has an awful vibe and need to work on telling their staff to have flexibility and some rationality. I’m in the service industry and try to have a buffer but this place has been consistently uncomfortable.

I had the chicken tarragon crêpe. I ate slowly, savoring each bite which seemed to melt in my mouth. I had a lemon crêpe for dessert, sharing it with my sister. They were quite gracious about providing an extra plate. The waitress was really nice, providing explanations of the differences between different dishes. I like the way the windows are ‘painted’ in the bathroom. After brunch we walked down the side of the building and looked into the kitchen. It was so lovely and the chef waved and smiled at us.

This place is cute! The inside is like a French bakery. It’s simple but cute. I went here for brunch and wasn’t really feeling crepes… Then I saw the menu and holy balls! From sweet to savory, their options are great! Both crepes that were ordered were savory and both were delicious. One was chicken on polenta, the other was a Brie and bacon. It was hard to decide which I like better. The lady working, I think she was the owner, was very sweet. The service was good, the crepes were good, and the location was cute. All in all I had a perfect experience. I will definitely be trying a couple sweet ones next time I am there. I definitely recommend this place for brunch or lunch or whenever!

SO — let’s get down to it… + The service was good — and tolerant of our little one — highchairs are available. — No changing table in the bathroom. + A great selection of vegetarian options, and pretty good crepes. — The crepes were not quite the best we’ve had — a little bland, a little greasy — pretty good though. On balance, we had a great brunch — you should check it out!

Hands down the best service I have ever had. Thank you! Had one figgy crêpe and one mixed berry. Both were simply a delight. Coffee was hot and tasty and Michael kept our cups full. Had a wonderful visit with the owner who clearly has a passion and a great vision. Also, absolutely the cleanest restaurant I have ever seen, and I eat out at least once daily. Huge thanks! job well done! We will be back and bringing friends & family!

The presentation of the crape was beautiful but it was burnt on the bottom which left an awful taste! The crape alone was very thin and was expecting more from an $ 8 crape. At that point I might as well went to a cartlandia and get a much cheaper crape with more stuffings and such. On top of this I was refused to be served a mimosa because the server couldn’t properly calculate if I was 21 years of age or not. It is 2014 and I was born in 1992. I’m 22 years old. On a plus note, the inside of this place is very cute. Hence my two stars haha I’m missing the crapes in Europe right now :(

I was really excited to try this place when I saw that they were actually open. I was very disappointed. There was a hair in my food, and they made no attempt to remedy the problem, didn’t even seem to care when I told her. It tasted good, but for ten bucks I kind of expect to be full. Small serving, served with a garnish of hair. With a side of poor service. Lovely

The crepes are absolutely to die for. They are so light and fluffy and their options for fillings are diverse. They have gluten free options and vegetarian too. It’s so hard to choose, if you’re coming as a group, get a few and swap half with each other. They also make their own lemonade and limeade and other drinks. They’ve applied for their liquor license, so beer and wine coming soon.

The crepes are ok. My salted caramel was kind of bland, in fact I poured table salt on it. No fresh fruit offerings either. I think I should have tried the savory as they looked more filling. My other complaint was the coffee — only drip and no espresso machine. You can’t be in a France without espresso and a crêpe!!! No bueno and not strong enough. Service was also slow and standoffish. Lots of kids waiting anxiously w parents. They do offer GF buckwheat options.

Any place that can pull off gluten free crepes let alone have two GF options! They even have a dairy free alternative to the whipped crème with the sweet coconut crème option. Doesn’t have the same loft that you get with the whipped cream, so the crepes won’t be as fluffy, but they are just as tasty. The kitchen was very conscious about my order since I asked for a GF crêpe and chose the dairy free alternative. They wanted to inform me that the some of the crepes had dairy products in it. I’m not dairy free, but I just wanted to see what the sweet coconut cream was all about. So if you have any kind of food allergy, this place is fo you. My boyfriend and I ended up getting two, three mini crêpe samplers, which is one big crêpe cut up into three pieces and filled with your choices. Perfect if you can’t decide or like us who like to try everything. I ordered from the right side of the menu and he ordered from the left. He omitted the Cinnamon crêpe, which sounded the least exciting out of the 4 choices from that side. Everything was made to order and the crepes were crispy on one side(especially the edges) and a good texture on the other. My favorties were the Rose Jam and the Caramel crepes. Delicious. Definitely will be back, especially to try the savory crepes. Great service, relaxed and clean atmosphere and wonderful food! Can’t wait to return when the weather is warmer to take advantage of the porch seating out front!
