When I first hired Katie Pugh to be my health coach I was feeling pretty down on myself because in spite of my best intentions I wasn’t able to take care of myself the way I needed to so I could heal from the adrenal fatigue that I developed due to a life-​long pattern of pushing myself too hard. I felt inspired by my aspirations and heart-​felt goals. But I didn’t have the physical energy that I needed to actualize many of them.
Before I met Katie, I had tried working with a personal trainer because I thought that I needed someone to push me to exercise more. The problem was that being pushed to exercise more further drained my energy. I had tried forcing myself to go to bed earlier, only to find that this increased my time in bed but decreased my time actually sleeping. I had tried eliminating carbs from my diet but my sugar cravings only got worse. Pushing myself and being pushed simply wasn’t going to work – yet I couldn’t see this because the pattern was so entrenched.
Then I found Katie, and she knew just what I needed: gentle, loving, consistent support. Week after week, Katie loved me, listened to me, and accepted me unconditionally. She asked me extremely powerful questions that enabled me to let go of my pattern of pushing myself too hard. Her skilled questioning also enabled me to discover what was truly necessary to reduce the stress in my life so I could begin to heal.
In looking back at my experience of being coached by Katie, I can see that her gentle, yet very powerful coaching was the catalyst that enabled me to begin my new pattern of taking exquisite care of myself. Katie is a truly gifted health coach. I am so grateful that she came into my life.

I have had the pleasure of visiting with Dr. Katie Pugh, naturopath, several times over the recent past. Our first visit stunned me… I have never met with a doctor that cared as much as she did. I was expecting it to go as most doc visits do, in and out and where’s my duckets. HOWEVER, she was more than a naturopath, she asked questions that pertained to all aspects of my welfare really working to get the big picture of what brought me there and then to narrow in on the details. Most docs I feel I could have done the same internet research they did to come up with my results. Each visit she loads me with new information and action items, of which I really didn’t think there could be more. I have never felt this good, health wise nor have I ever felt this secure in my doctor. She is very knowledgeable and freely passes on her knowledge to you so you can sustainably better yourself long term.

Awakening Lotus is a space shared by about a dozen massage and accupuncture practioners. The building and massage rooms are warm and friendly, comfortable and relaxing.
I saw Maree Natal Bento, LMT, who does deep tissue massage, massage stretching, and reiki. It was a very positive experience, and I left feeling relaxed and and about ten times more limber than when I went in. I’d go again.
