Changed ownership in 2014. Focused on using only fresh local ingredients.
We bring the best of both coasts. At Bakehouse Bagels we «import» our bagel base from New York and locally source everything else to bring Portland a seriously good bagel.
We’re moving to sustainable packaging and creating all our specialty spreads and sauces from scratch. This year is the year of change and we hope you stop in for regular visits so you can note and comment upon the change underway. We’re here to serve Portland and we want to know how we can better serve you.
Note: Vegan and vegetarian options are available; however our restaurant is not a meat and dairy free restaurant as a whole.

Business Owner
Seasoned foodie who spends Saturday nights in the kitchen with my wife. We love to try new recipes together with the help of our 2 year old son. When we bought the business in February of 2014 it was a dream. The first couple of months we’ve been fine tuning the recipes and at home experimenting with different things to add to the menu. I’m a hobbyist builder looking forward to the slow renovations that will be happening at the shop.
