Description

Specialties

Bandago Van Rentals rents high quality passenger vans for group travel. Our office is located in Portland, Oregon. We are just 10 minutes from the Portland International Airport (PDX).

We rent 15-passenger vans, as well as customized Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passenger vans. Our vans come standard with Wi-Fi, Flat-screen LCD video, DVD, power outlets, iPod support and much more, at a price that is comparable and often cheaper than much plainer vans offered by the majors car rental corporations.

We are famous for working with bands and touring musicians, but we are also rented vehicles to tens of thousands of families, companies, film and TV productions, sports teams, churches, government agencies, celebrities even had one of our vans accidentally «stolen» by a state governor and future presidential candidate (great story, ask us about it!).

We would love to work with you, please visit our website for more details about our vehicles.

History

Established in 2003.

Bandago was founded in 2003 by touring musician Sharky Laguana, who wanted amazing vans and great service from a van rental company when he went on tour with his band, Creeper Lagoon. When the van he rented from a large Corporate company broke down in the Nevada desert, he was left stranded in the middle of nowhere for over a week. He decided enough was enough and set about to create a better van rental service. One thing led to another and what started as a van parked in front of his apartment in the Mission District has turned into locations across the country and a fleet of hundreds of vehicles. Bandago’s goals have never changed though: to be the best van rental company in the world by providing the best vans at the best prices, and provide the highest level of service.

Meet the Business Owner

Sharky L.

Business Owner

Sharky Laguana got his start as a professional musician in San Francisco in the late-90’s. Playing small clubs around town with an acoustic guitar and a box full of tape loops, he slowly gathered a band and a following, and eventually the band signed a major label deal with Dreamworks records. After several years of touring and a couple of critically acclaimed records, the band broke up, and Sharky wondered whether a better kind of van rental company might be a good business idea. This led to buying a couple vans and growing a small van rental company. A decade later Bandago is the premier van rental company in the United States with hundreds of vans, and locations across the country.
