History

Established in 1997.

We added this satellite clinic to our main clinic, Tigard Optometric Clinic, in order to better serve the needs of our patients that live and work closer to central Portland. We are located down the hill from OHSU, over the highway from Lewis and Clark and around the corner from Hillsdale and Multnomah Village.

Both Dr. Freedle and Dr. Midson see patients at both of our locations.

Meet the Business Owner

Drs. Midson and Freedle.

Business Owner

Born in England, Dr. Midson grew up locally in Beaverton and attended UO Honors College, graduating with a double major in Biology and German. After working as a microbiology lab technician at OHSU, she completed her Doctorate in Optometry at Pacific University and graduated with distinction in 2001. Her interests are with children’s vision, specialty contact lenses and medical eye care. She joined the practice in 2006 and enjoys working with all of the wonderful patients loyal to NW Optometric Clinics.

Dr. Freedle graduated from UC-​Irvine in 1981 where he received a degree in Biology. He moved to the Northwest, where he received his doctorate in Optometry from Pacific University in 1985. He joined the Tigard practice in 1990, where the doctors have seen steady growth through the 90’s and beyond. Dr. Freedle currently practices at both clinic locations. He co-​manages Lasik surgery, emphasizes proper contact lens care and promotes optimum eye health by managing dry eye.
