Jazz Age-inspired cocktail bar in the heart of downtown Portland.
History
Established in 2014.
Barlow, the sister bar of adjoining full-service concept Picnic House, is a Jazz Age-inspired cocktail lounge located in the heart of downtown Portland’s Broadway District.
The cocktail program, a collaboration between bar manager Matthew Gilbert and consultant Tom Lindstedt, brings a modern twist to the classics of the early 20th century. The carefully-curated list celebrates classic Hollywood allure with an emphasis on modern craft cocktail methods, including liquid nitrogen-chilled glassware, clarified syrups and juices, and hand-engraved ice cubes.
The thoughtful food menu prepared by Head Chef Casey Gipson brings a farm-to-table approach to dishes that hearken back to the glamour of Old Hollywood.
