Brian Porter

Brian Porter was my realtor on a duplex purchase in SE Portland. I am an out-​of-​state, 1^st time duplex buyer with virtually no experience and knowledge on SE Portland, Portland/​OR landlord/​tenant law/​practices and duplexes in general prior to this transaction. The transaction closed on time and at a great price. Brian proved to be extremely knowledgeable about the area and duplexes specifically. He helped me with a terrific referral who will be an on-​going asset. He was patient, a great listener and clear communicator of realistic news. His coordination with the many parties in a real estate transaction was quick and effective. When I, my family or friends consider a buy or sell real estate transaction in Portland, Brian is our first and only stop.

My husband and I are Brian’s biggest fans! As a buyers agent he treated each house skeptically, like he was looking at it to buy himself. He was patient, honest and straight-​forward, and not shy about sharing both positive and negative opinions about a property. He worked with us to pinpoint our criteria for mining listings, and we received the newest matches every morning. He was available at a moment’s notice to view a home. Ultimately, the fact that he was enthusiastic about a house was something that we weighed in our final decision, and we’re thrilled with the house we bought.

Brian Porter was my realtor when purchasing a new condo downtown and when selling my house in Beaverton. Prior to working with Brian I was frustrated by realtors who were not very responsive. This was not the case with Brian. He either answered my calls or called me back within 20 minutes every time. I had a similar response to emails (sometimes I’d get a response late at night).
Brian carefully guided me through the selling process for my home. I particularly appreciated his insight as to the required, least costly, upgrades I needed to make in order for my house standout and sell quickly (which it did in a poor market). On several occasions Brian worked with me as we went to Home Depot to determine the right brand/​color for carpet, wall paint etc. I would have spent much more on my own.
I don’t know if I would have sold my house this summer w/​o Brian’s help. Obviously I strongly recommend his services.
