Meet the Business Owner

Amy N.

Business Owner

I am a mother of four (two birthed, one adopted, one step). I am certified with DONA and Lamaze and have years of teaching experience in a variety of settings (hospital, university, and private). I am currently serving on the board of Portland’s Northwest Childbirth Educators Forum (NACEF).

Working with families, infants and children is my joy and life’s passion. I recently finished my PhD (2013), which focused on neurological development and brain mapping in babies and children. I’ve worked with hundreds of children from birth to age 18 with hearing loss and other special needs, and their families. I have also worked for nonprofits as an early childhood literacy specialist, educator, and researcher.

Families don’t all look the same. I specialize in caring for families who might not receive the best social support in other areas of their lives. I will honor your family for what it is: beautiful, unique, and worthy of excellent care.
