Worse clinic I’ve ever been to!
I unfortunate had Dr Lohr when I first found out I was pregnant
She was very condescending, constantly talked down to me, made me feel horrible for saying I most likely wouldn’t want the genetic testing, made me feel like I was a bother to be seen and just rolled her eyes at anything I’d say and any questions I’d ask
I asked to switch Doctors because I didn’t get a good vibe from Dr Lohr and didn’t want to continue my prenatal care for another 33 weeks with her and they said I wasn’t aloud to switch Doctors and would have to find another office since they don’t allow it at their office so I did exactly that
The billing office is alot worse
They informed me they’ve sent me 5 statements for part of the initial ultrasound I had done to confirm my pregnancy
I only received 2 statements
The lady in the billing office I believe her name was Linda called after 6 months and left a nasty voicemail saying I need to pay the balance or it will go to collections if she didn’t hear from me in 10 days
I called back the same day, left a message and said I could make 2 or 3 payments for the balance and she just sent it to collections anyways
The front desk receptionists aren’t very friendly either
I was very disappointed with this office after it came so highly recommended

I’ve been needing to write a review for Amy Miller and the staff here but how can you even begin to give any justice to her/​their impeccable services in a few words?
She really is the absolute best, a complete turn around from my first experience with pregnancy and delivery. She is the perfect balance between knowledgeable doctor and realistic mom, being informative yet calming, being friendly yet professional. If she had no where to go for Thanksgiving, I’d invite her to my table.
She held my hand through a hyper active thyroid, ovarian teratoma, major pre-​labor pains and earlier dilation/​effacement, kept me from tearing with her direct and calming directions during birth, got me better when I fell very sick while carrying, got me checked out when I kept clotting tangerines after birth. All of this while remembering everything about my family from our daily lives to our medical needs. I’ve referred everyone I know to her and I never plan on having a baby without her. She eased all of my anxiety and worries, I felt completely confident and safe having my and my babies lives in her hands.
From the emotional stand point, she was just as excited and happy about every heart beat sound, picture, news and final delivery as we were. She was a total emotional and moral support through my entire pregnancy and delivery. When I went into labor she wasn’t working and I felt so incredibly sad, then the nurse came back in and let me know that by the time I’d be delivering, Dr. Miller would be here! Leaps for joy!
Amy Miller was sent from heaven.
Nuff said.

The office staff was always helpful in connecting me with an MA to answer all of my silly first-​time-​mom questions, and helping me find appointments that would fit around my work schedule. I also cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Carrie Miles. I saw her from my first appointment to my last post-​partum visit. She took the time to answer all of my questions, explained things very thoroughly, and ensured that I was able to have the birth that I wanted. She treated me with more kindness and respect than any other physician I have met. If this review was just for her and the office staff, it would be five stars.
There are a few MAs that left a bad taste in my mouth with the way that they acted and treated me.
Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone seeking OBGYN services.

This review is for Dr. Amy Miller.
Dr. Miller was my doctor for my entire pregnancy and delivered my daughter by C-​Section. (Not planned).
I cannot say enough about this woman. She is kind, knowledgable, incredibly smart and above all caring and compassionate.
She was just as excited it seemed for the birth of my daughter as I was. I truly enjoyed every visit.
When I found out on a Wednesday at 39 weeks that my daughter was breech we talked through all the options. At the end of the day we decided on a C Section for that Friday. Dr Miller assured me she would be the one delivering our daughter. She was by my side and held me tight when I got my spinal (since my husband couldn’t be i the room for that). She talked me through the entire process. My healing time was amazing. I was walking 3+ miles less than 5 days after I gave birth. I felt great.
I highly recommend Dr Miller. She would be an amazing doctor to have by your side as you go through the entire process. The reception staff was always kind and welcoming as well.

I have been extraordinarily pleased with the care I’ve received from Dr. Suzuki at this practice, both with a previous miscarriage, and my current, somewhat complicated, pregnancy. She is kind, thoughtful, has never made me feel rushed, and is extremely knowledgeable about current trends, practices and treatments. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for an OBGYN.
Sadly, I believe she is leaving the clinic in July, which is before I deliver my baby. But, my interactions with other doctors thus far have been quite good, and I look forward to meeting and working with others at Bridgeview.
Also, I have never had to wait more than 5 – 10 minutes at an appointment, which is a big deal for a working mom.

Disappointed with Bridgeview since my longtime doctor retired, and I saw Dr. Lohr. Saw her twice in two years for annual exams. She made me feel like I was wasting her time, but the reality is that she wasted mine. She was condescending and disengaged. So, when she was on maternity leave at the time for my next annual exam, I opted to see Joy Rothschild, nurse practioner. She was professional, friendly, and helpful. I chose to see her the next year, rather than Dr. Lohr. She was still professional but more distant, and seemed somewhat disinterested. Recently I called the office to request an answer to a simple question from Joy. I needed this info to help me make a decision on an upcoming healthcare change. Two days went by, and no response. I am done with this clinic. Unfortunately, I realize this is more the norm than not, but I will move on and try to find someone who cares and is more responsive.

Worst experience of my life!!! Run Run Run far away from Dr. Lohr! She has no compassion for anyone dealing with fertility, endometriosis or even listening to past medical history. She make you feel bad, talks down on you in a very condescending way, LIES and to top it all off she killed my baby!!! Seriously! I have a long history of miscarriages, chronic period pain due to endometriosis and heavy bleeding. She doesn’t care about her patients. When she made me have a D&C to kill my baby, come to find out she lied to me. She stated the baby was in my tube. Then why D&C!?? Then to find out the baby was actually in my uterus and was just fine. When she performed the D&C I have never been in so much pain in my life! She shot me with numbing medicine and instead of waiting for the medicine to take affect, she she just started the procedure (even a dentist waits a min for the area to numb before filling a cavity). I felt like a knife was being jammed in my private area. I was crying out in pain. When she tells her nurse, right in front of my husband and I, that she was sorry its one of those days. Really! One of those days. What kind of day did she think I was having!!? I was crying my eyes out, as shes telling me I must get rid of my baby and her reasoning was, because its Friday and she doesn’t want to be called into the emergency room for me. I have had an ectopic pregnancy before when I told her I don’t feel the same symptoms, I have had in the past. She then told me I read about the symptoms online. She loves to argue. I know my body, i didn’t read it on line. Never in my life, have I dealt with such a ignorant Dr. She is on some power trip and really doesn’t care about preventive care or women’s health at all. If I could zero stars I would. Instead, I will be reporting her to the medical bored. Please, don’t put your health in this women hands!!!

So disappointed with my interaction with this practice. I called them on Monday to see if I could switch over to one of two doctors I’ve read good things about. Since I’m into my pregnancy already, they told me to request my medical file transferred and that pending the doctor’s review I would be told whether I could switch or not. Since this would put me in a bit of an awkward position with my current practice, as I told that first receptionist who spoke with me on Monday, I double checked that the desired doctors had appointments for the week I needed to be seen in July and could attend a birth for my due date month. I was told
Yes and Yes.
On Thursday, I got a call from another receptionist who informed me neither of my preferred providers could fit another birth for the month and offered another doctor (the one who has a one-​star review here on Unilocal as it turns out). Well, one of two things happened: 1-​in the two days since I called and checked the doctors I wanted were available a bunch of other already pregnant and somewhat far along ladies called to switch over to these two practitioners, or 2– they pulled the old bait-​and-​switch on me banking that I would be so excited to join the practice that I would not care who would be my physician. My money’s on #2.
On the positive side, neither the receptionists nor the office manager I spoke with to explain my disappointment were rude, so there’s always a plus.

I had my daughter at Good Samaritan Hospital, and my OB is Dr. Jenna Murray. She is absolutely amazing and I don’t think I could possibly be happier. She was informative, patient, and overall just incredibly wonderful through everything. We had a stressful pregnancy and almost had to transfer to the Maternal-​Fetal Medicine Clinic at Legacy Emanuel. We had to see a perinatologist, meaning that we were classified as high risk for a while due to low amniotic fluid and potential placental insufficiency, but things turned around and we were able to stay with Dr. Murray, THANK GOODNESS. I mean nothing negative towards the doctors at MFMC at Emanuel, but my husband & I just ADORE Dr. Murray.
The office staff are friendly and helpful. We haven’t had any problems getting through when we’ve had concerns and appointments are easy to make. I’ve met a few of the other doctors there and we love them too.
My daughter was born in September 2012 at Good Sam and Dr. Murray delivered her. We induced about a week early due to the fact that I was measuring big, and it seemed like our little angel might not be able to squeeze out! Everything was going well until my daughter’s shoulder got stuck on the way out behind my pubic bone… this is called «shoulder dystocia,» which is classified as an obstetrical emergency. Dr. Murray acted swiftly and confidently. She gave me an episiotomy and pulled my daughter out (my daughter couldn’t breathe due to a compressed cord because she was only part of the way out). After she was born, I began to hemorrhage and she stitched me up and gave me a shot to stop the bleeding. She saved BOTH of our lives.
Throughout our pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care, Dr. Murray has been nothing short of amazing. She was calm and conscientious to our needs, and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is looking for an OB/​GYN. WE LOVE HER!!!
