Went to burgerville on 8 may while visiting portland. Worst burgerville I’ve been in, was in two other ones in the last week, that were great. This one had slow service, got order wrong, food was far from good, all 4 of had had stomach issues after eating there. Girl brought us the food was terrible, missed a order of fries and finally brought them when we were done eating, even though she took other people though orders with fries while we waited. The chicken sandwiches were cold and the chicken was ½ the size of the bun. Not clean either.; tables had food crumbs on them. Fries cold also. Won’t go there again., really have nothing good to say about this location.

Bad day? Tillamook cheeseburger. Great day? Tillamook cheeseburger. Get fired? Tillamook cheeseburger. Get hired? Tillamook cheeseburger. What I’m saying is get a tillamook cheeseburger. And rosemary garlic fries. You won’t regret it.

Don’t get me wrong I love burgerville. However one day I stopped by the 122nd and stark location and was very disappointed there visa machine was broken and I was in the drive thru the girl didn’t tell me until I was at the pay window. I didn’t have enough cash. So I had to skip lunch that day. Pretty poor customer service.

It’s one of those days, you’re in a rush, and have to grab something quick to eat. Well, you’re in luck… this Burgerville has a lot to offer and you won’t feel guilty for eating fast food a few hours later! Local ingredients, quality food, and a happy staff. Just make sure you bring more than the change in your cup holder for a burger and fries, tends to be pricey, just remember you get what you pay for and this food is worth it!

I used to be a big supporter of that local joint that recycled. Used local ingredients and supported the local economy. This group has fallen by the way side. Sorry the quality has gone down and so has the service. Are they making things quicker? Yes. Do they have more menu items? Yes. The quality of the food has gone down down down. Now it is noticeable to the point where i am only giving three stars based off previous experience not current let down. Where you ask have the changes come in? The shakes used to be only Fresh berry shakes at one price now unless you ask for the fresh berries well I dont know what you get. The burgers have well obviously become frozen just like their big boy counterparts. No longer can you tell someone made that burger. Now you know a machine made that burger and froze it and sent it out and they just pulled it out of the deep freeze this morning. Sorry, If I wanted dry tasteless burgers I would not be paying 7+ dollars for them. The gardenburger is gone from the menu as far as I am concerned. The spicy bean glob they have replaced it with barely comes in as edible food in my opinion. I dont know what changed with the fries but they are different and not in a good way, The seasonal items also seem to have gone by the wayside. It was nice to pick up some onion rings or some asparagus in the past. Now I dont think they are as locally harvested or processed in the same way. quality has gone down and prices have gone up. I am not one of those people always saying remember the good old days. But I think the good old days are long gone here. No longer easy to make a connection with a manager. No longer able to look at a product and know you have done something for your community. I just think they have come down to the lowest common denominator and it is not good.

Love this place! The food is delicious, the staff is super nice(Britney is the best!), and the prices are not too shabby. Definitely coming here on a weekly basis! :)

At one time Burgerville would have been at the top of my list for a good hamburger in Portland. Circus burger, Bocs and Scotties were all there too! Recent experience at several Burgerville locations has me saying its now a poor value. The bacon on my cheeseburger was charred to the black crispy side. The hamburger patty was dry and lacked any flavor at all. The Tillamook cheddar was sliced so thin it only had one side! Todays $ 7.64 purchase included a regular drink and no fries. Save your money, go to Five Guys, get a better burger add the fries for less $$$ than spent here. All businesses go in cycles and hopefully Burgerville’s model will be reborn with flavor that matches the crazy prices! No Mas!

I love Burgerville for what it offers, however, the service at this particular one sucks. It is super slow, and the people that work here are rude. My food came out hot and tasted great and my order was correct, just don’t expect it fast or with a smile.

I really like the fact Burgerville really focuses on organics and sustainability and I really look forward to their sweet potato fries in the summer every year. Their shakes are ok but I have had better. Sadly, I think I have seen Burgerville go down hill a bit over the years and has lost focus a bit. I do hope they regain the quality they once had. The staff at this location seems to be on the ball and keep the store looking clean, so yeah, I’m a fan.

Those 2 stars are only for the customer service which was nice. OVERPRICED and UNDERWELMING. 13 $ for 4 pcs skimpy fish? c’mon! As this review applies to all Burgervilles. Chintzy! that’s all I got to say. You are dead to me.

I really WANT to like Burgerville! Everything about it sounds like something I’d love. Premium meat, local onions, fresh buns, whatever… but something just doesn’t add up. 1.) I’ll start with the good — The Walla Walla Onion rings were amazing. I had these a couple months back. My wife and I ordered kind of a ridiculous amount of them and it came out to like $ 20 — wow, woops! This was because we didn’t know how big the orders were, lol. Anyway, on this trip all we got was onion rings and they were seriously amazing. We love onion rings. 2.) The bad. When we first moved to Washougal, we tried Burgerville on moving day. We had awesome burger places in California like In-N-Out, Tommy’s, and Farmer Boys to name a couple. We had high hopes. The burgers just weren’t that good! At the time, Unilocal kind of looked how we felt about them after eating… 3 stars. 3.) The alternatives. I’d rather go to Dairy Queen across the street any day. They have delicious, flavorful, fresh burgers and pretty damn good onion rings! Wow!

My friend was visiting her aunt and the cousin suggested burgerville for dinner. We ordered the walla walla sweet onion and colossal cheeseburger. I’d favor the colloidal over walla walla. The walla walla was a bit spicy; wasn’t a fan. My friend ordered the blackberry shake. And I got the strawberry shake. Tasted the same as any othwr strawberry shake. Well, it’s fast food but in the higher chain. Plus! Super friendly staff. Our server was named britt! Very sweet gal.

Going strong in metro-Portland for 50 years now, Burgerville is a local chain that everyone should visit at least once. Star 1 — Was the service good? While no different from any other burger chain in terms of direct service, it’s the indirect services that made me immediately fall in love with Burgerville. An open fitness nut and calorie-counter, I was absolutely blown away when I saw the full nutrition contents of my order printed right on my receipt. Moreover, directly underneath the nutrition facts were various tips and tricks to lowering the caloric content of my specific order, 100% unprecedented even among the most health-conscious of fast food establishments. Corporate executives from McDonalds and Chipolte alike could learn a thing or two from how Burgerville does things. Star Granted. Star 2 — How were the portions relative to the cost? With 100% locally sourced ingredients, Burgerville has an excuse for it’s premium prices. While my medium-sized burger(Pepper Bacon Burger… absolutely delicious) and fries came in at nearly $ 7, I was happy to pay the price after reading testimonials on the walls from the farmers who grew everything from the lettuce and potatoes to the cows. Star Granted. Stars ¾ — Did the food taste good? Thick, fresh and juicy, Burgerville cooks up delicious hamburgers made even better with their«spread», a tangy mustard/thousand islands dressing that makes the trip worth it in and of itself. Unlike any sauce I’d ever had, Burgerville’s spread makes everything from the chicken sandwiches to the crispy fries well worthwhile, and can be purchased by the jar. Followed up by a solid breakfast menu, Burgerville is worth a visit at any hour of the day. Dual Stars Granted. Star 5 — Would you eat it every day if you could? Bringing a health-conscious atmosphere to a locally sourced fast-food chain is an option I wish were available nationwide, and there is no doubt in my mind that Burgerville is a model that should be followed by any chain that has the future in mind. I’d gladly pay daily to eat at this Portland gem. Well done Burgerville. Star Granted, making Burgerville my only 5-Star establishment in Portland.

They are celebrating 50 years! Pepper Bacon cheeseburger was a nice big burger with cheddar cheese and tasty bacon. We also got 2 of the seasonal items. One was the fried asparagus spears. Mmm these were really tasty. It came with a garlic aioli dip. Also the Timber Joey milkshake which is a oreo cookie and mint shake. Our order came out $ 78 buckaroos. Yup we ordered a loooooot. The food here was tasty. A bit above your typical fast food like Mcdonalds or Burger King. I like that they do use locally grown suppliers. It’s where the Burgers go!

I’m usually on the Burgerville bandwagon… great locally-owned, seasonal, fresh, quality ingredients, at a premium fast-food price. but this was unacceptable. Their seasonal sole sandwich was bad(overcooked hard/dry fish, a small piece of lettuce, and a LOT of mayo/white sauce)…definitely edible, but hard to say it was better than a Fillet-o-fish from McD’s. And the staff was as depressed as I’ve seen at any other fast-food joint… maybe I caught them on a bad day, but this certainly wasn’t acceptable.

This is a fast food chain. By definition, we are expected to not get along, but somehow we are not. In fact we are now friends. This review is not specific particular to this Burgerville but also applies to the wealth of others throughout Portland, Oregon. Never have I been to a fast food chain that sources their beef from the state in which it presides. Never have I seen dark leafy greens provided in a burger. Never have I seen such a diversity of vegetables used in a menu – fried asparagus? Never have I seen a fast food chain serve aioli. Never has someone whose taken my order noticed that I would be sharing a burger and offered to have it sliced in half for me. This place is truly pushing the envelope on the re-education of fast food america. There was even a poster in the restaurant itself celebrating a local hero for pioneering the conversion of used french fried canola oil into biodiesel! Truly our values are turning for the better here; why celebrate TV/movie celebrities whose reckless behavior and uninformed values just create drama and misinformation? Celebrate real heroes who are making a difference for our environment – Burgerville.

I have long held a place in my heart for Burgerville. I have always loved their fresh berry seasonal milkshakes(strawberry is the best!) and a couple years ago discovered their amazing pumpkin milkshakes in the fall(it tastes like a flippin’ blended pumpkin pie with whipped cream!!) And this weekend I discovered 1 more reason to love Burgerville: rosemary french fries! Arghhh, they smell so divine! And they taste so wonderful! My mouth is watering just thinking about them! Plus, if the quality of the food doesn’t get you here, they are all about sustainable green practices: all there beef is from a local ranch in Bend, they have compostable straws and other items, they use alternative power sources, they easily display their nutritional info, and so on. Check out their website if you need more reason to get your fast food burger fix here. Don’t go here for a fast food bargain though… my favorite meal of Tillamook cheeseburger, fries, and a fresh berry shake will run you close to $ 10… but it is so much better than other fast food options out there.

I have been a fan of Burgerville since my «I’m traumatized by McDonald’s because of the movie Supersize Me, but still crave fast food» days. I love the Tillamook cheeseburger and patiently await the Walla Walla onion rings every year. For the past year or so, I’ve noticed that Burgerville has given me more reason to love them by offering seasonal specials. My most favorite one so far is the introduction of portobello mushrooms to their menu. I tried the fried portobello wedges with garlic aioli sauce and I must say it is divine! Truth be told, they are very rich(I can only handle 3 of them at most) but the aioli is something that you would expect from a Pearl restaurant… it’s THAT good! I also tried the portobello focaccia sandwich and although I liked the portabella wedges better, the flavors of sundried tomatoes, caramelized onions, and savory portobello was still pretty awesome. Of course, I rounded out my meal with a chocolate hazelnut shake which was like a Ferrero Rocher in a cup! The quality of ingredients as well as the pretty price at Burgerville is impressive and I’m looking forward to what they have in store as the next seasonal special!
