I brought in 4 girls for my daughters bday party, aside from them doing an awesome job, the girls received balloons and were actually carried by the staff to my car ! No joke A++++

CT Nails has been my «go to» place for many years. I hate to do this, but the management and product quality is just not what it used to be. Broken chairs, no colors they say they have, «gently» rinsed sinks. The younger gentleman who now runs the store is focused only on quantity versus quality, he’s all about making money and proudly shared that he works 7 days a week! Work smarter, not harder dude! Sadly, 3 of the past 3 times I’ve called ahead to make reservations, I have had to wait. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, but the last was the day before my wedding day and I was a wreck! It would go so far if they would just be honest with their customers who ask «how long?» and instead of the go-​to «10 – 15 min» reply (which inevitably turns out to be 30−45min), JUST BE HONEST! I see this place losing the customer service it used to be so known for which they can not afford as 2 – 3 other salons have moved in just blocks away! Tip to the owner: Fix your chairs, smile at people when they come in the doors, be honest if it will take 30 min (people will come back!), HONOR RESERVATIONS (take credit card info over the phone if you have to), update your shellac color or get rid of the «options» you don’t actually carry!

I hate to do this because I have had many great experiences here BUT…
I just went in to get a full set of acrylic gel nails and their drill wasn’t working.
And apparently the only other drill was broken as well!
How do you only have 2 drills?
I am extremely disappointed.
This has been my go to place for many years but I am sad to say I will not be returning anymore.

I was really hoping to like this place because of the kids chairs and abundant service menu. I made an appt with my two kiddos. We were taken care of quickly but my kids complained about the water being cold and the worker didn’t seem very concerned. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and came here for a foot massage hoping that it could help things along. I was vocal about that. I paid more for the hot stone massage and was very disappointed. The man massaged my calves to death and touched my actual feet for about 30 seconds. I kept thinking he was going to get to them later and then he never did. My massage chair did not work appropriately (I also noticed the lady next to me’s chair didn’t work right and also made a loud noise). I was there for an hour and didn’t see much cleaning of anything, even between customer pedicures. I’d be very weary of the safety and cleanliness in this nail salon. There’s another salon that’s a block away that I normally go to and is fantastic. I will never come back to this place. I gave 2 stars because my daughters paint was cute and mine turned out ok as well.

Very busy, so be sure to make an appointment. Only place that offers every salon/​spa service from waxing, haircut including EVERYTHING nails. Similar salons down 21st and 23rd claim they are full service, but are not. I walked up and down these streets looking for acrylic nails with tips, yes the super old school kind (as I wound up biting my beautiful natural nails in a moment of anxiety) only to find that most salons have done away with acrylic altogether now that shellac is wanted by all. I get it, I love shellac too, but shellac doesn’t instantly make your nails longer. This is the only salon that TRULY offers it all, new school AND old school! Thank you Sonny and staff for always taking great care of me!

I have been coming to CT Nails for years. I really wanted to give it 4 stars but in reality it was a 2.5.
Recently either management or something changed because they are a bit off their game.
Went in with a friend of mine to get a pedi, wanted the $ 20 package. They tried to upsell me on the bigger package but I declined. Lady asked a few more times but I just didn’t answer after I said no twice.
To my surprise, they didn’t offer us a beverage (which used to be included in the price). Normally you get tea, water, wine or a mimosa. So obviously I was a little sad !
She didn’t cut my nails as short as I asked, didn’t file down the ends very well and also didn’t put a top coat on. So 3 days later by pretty Lincoln park after park polish is chipped. Sad to say I will stick to the more pricy locations.

Made a 3:30 appointment for my friend and I and her 4year old daughter. We showed up 15min early, and didn’t get any service until 4:40pm. They didn’t offer us something to drink or anything. Just don’t expect them to care about an appointment. They also do a lazy job with the pedicure itself, especially for what they charge.

I’ve been here twice for pedis, both experiences here were excellent. Attentive staff that doesn’t rush, great leg massage, and the do good work. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back because after my last visit I developed a fungal infection under one of my nails, which makes me question their cleanliness.

Still my fave pedi&nail place!
I was stupid enough to go to a salon in Holland, in a small village that shall remained unnamed until I remember it, but which totally killed my nails with gelnails, which kills your nails anyhow. Except for that she put it on there superfat, and made it very, very obvious that I had fake nails.
So off to CT to get them removed, and a restorative coating in top!

This is the place to go when you’re looking for a good manicure, but make a reservation or go on a slow day because even though they have the resources for large parties, there are usually only a handful of people working. If you don’t mind the wait and there are spots available, you can hang out in one of the massage chair for pedicures. I got my first gel manicure here and I love it! It lasted a month and I only came back to get it fixed because my nails got so long half of my nails didn’t have color. No chips, cracks, or flaking! I hope more OPI colors are available for gel manicures soon.
Much as I love this place for their manicures, I knocked off a star because of their waxing services. While I take full responsibility for taking the gamble on that $ 30 price tag, I did not expect such a disaster. Only way it could have been worse is if I had skin damage but I’m going to stick with other salons.

Perhaps this is an off day. The place has a good feel and I want to come back but geez! I rarely have a bad experience though the service here today simply sucked beyond belief. I waited with my toes in the tub for half an hour, then the person doing my pedi kept getting interrupted and called away by other staffers. The color I originally chose walked away never turned up. Nobody was terribly concerned about providing anything remotely close to good customer service. My toes look fine and I’ll get over the crappy experience but DANG, people! Focus! A half hour express pedi kept me here for an hour and a half!

I’m truly disappointed in the service myself and my guest received.
We made reservations for 6 on Friday March 20th for March 22nd (my birthday). The guy was very rushy on the phone and did not ask what services we wanted done.
We arrived on time to a completely full salon! There was no place to sit so they put us in the back where we waited for almost 2 hours!!!
We were suppose to receive complimentary mimosas (for birthday parties).. . We all got ONE an hour into waiting and we had to ask for them.
As the birthday girl I thought I would get treated timely and kindly, but that was not the case. My nails were done last and the girl who did them seemed irritated abd annoyed. I didn’t feel comfortable and I felt like a burden!
My shellac mani didn’t turn out great and one of my nails has a huge bubble on it. My sister’s finger nails are horrible and the nail polish looked clumpy. And one of my friends didn’t even get her nails done because they made her feel like they had no time!
We all tipped 20% but they did not truly deserve it. They didn’t apologize it try to accommodate for the over booking on their part or for the wait.
If it wasn’t for Bartini down the street my birthday would have been ruined!
I will never be back and I will tell everyone I know not to bring their business there.

This place is fantastic! I came in with my boyfriend to get our nails done for his birthday, and they were nothing less than amaxing! We got the basic mani/​pedi ($ 30 each) and were immedietly seated and our bathes were started, and my boyfriend remarked his was a bit cold to me and the lady immedietly came over to turn up the heat! They had free refreshments, and amazing service. They even stayed open a half hour past closing to finish our nails. 10⁄10 would reccomend! They are convient, cheap, and high quality!

They cut my finger with the nail shaving stick because the woman who did my nail was so rough! Then she forgot to put base color underneath the gel layers so no color pigment came out until 4th layer of gelish. She does not speak English and was really annoyed by my request to try on 2 colors, until she cut my finger. She also kept on putting product and water on the bleeding wound. Horrifying experience !!

I’m sorry but this place was slightly awful. I would only come back here for a pedicure and even that’s questionable. I should have known better when I walk in and there’s only 2 nail tables and a TON of pedicure chairs. They obviously have a specialty.
PEDICURE:
Yes, you can have a complimentary glass of wine, mimosa, coffee, tea, etc. That’s a nice touch. For only around $ 20 you get a decent pedicure. This place is crowded however and timing can be a touch slow. Wouldn’t come here if you’re in a hurry especially on a evening/​weekend. Pedicure rates about a 3.5 out of 5.
NAILS:
I have solar/​acrylic nails. DO NOT come here if you are looking to get them done. I’ve been to many, many different nail salons and have not had a worse job done. I had several attempts trying to explain to the guy what I wanted. I don’t think he quite understood and to my disadvantage I had a friend there with whom I was talking to… hence not paying a huge amount of attention to what was going on with my nails… assuming everything would be a-​ok.
What I got was different sized tips that don’t even closely resemble a french manicure. They don’t use a gel over the nails… so they didn’t come out shiny and felt awful. They were not drilled down properly and starting chipping within a day or two. The gold on my nails I requested was just brushed along the tips. By this point I just wanted out of there after I had taken notice. Really, really, disappointed. Paying $ 40 to get your nails done I would expect way more. It was almost as if they were using techniques and products from 20 years ago. I would never return to have my nails done here.

I love it here. The english is hit or miss, but just adds to the overall entertainment. I’m certainly not coming to be talked to. i’ve always come with a friend.
I’ve been here multiple times over the last few years. They do a great job. The overall place is clean and tidy and quite attractive as nail places go.
The cheapest Pedicure is $ 21 and comes with a beverage choice. I always get the champagne and it’s ALWAYS light crisp and tasty.
There is even a section of 6 little kid pedicure chairs outfitted with a personal dvd player. The kiddies get a balloon to boot!!!
So much fun.
