I didn’t have a coupon when I hired victoria to come work with me and my dog. It’s been a few years and at the time she lived in Salem and I live in beaverton. She told me there was a travel fee which why wouldn’t there be? If you think your plumber or air conditioning guy ect… doesn’t add travel expenses your bill very wrong. At least victoria tells you up front there are travel expenses instead of just sneaking the charges in some how without your knowledge. She was happy to come to my house and train me and my dog. And spent 3and a half hours with us until we felt confident and well trained. She also offered to come back if I needed additional help with walking my dog in the park or neighborhood. Without charge. She also offers lifetime support if you have future issues with your dog. Her prices with travel expenses are very fair! Doesn’t it make sense that you would spend whatever it takes to make sure your dog s trained properly? Its like buying a car, you dont just buy a car and never spend any more money to take care of it. If we did that the car would eventually let you know it needed to be maintained by breaking down. Same goes with a dog if you don’t spend the money to maintain (training) your dog it will eventually let you know by acting out. Dogs want to be trained. And everyone is much happier with a trained dog. not frustrated and upset with the dog. When in reality when your dog acts out you should be mad at yourself for not training the dog so that they know what is expected of them. If you think training is too expensive, you shouldnt have a dog! As far as training over the phone goes, I have only read posative things about it. I encourage you to read her reviews on her sight ALL of her clients are extremely satisfied with the results of her training both on the phone or in person. She is very straight forward and says it how it is when it comes to training your dog. If you can’t handle hearing the truth about what you should and need to be doing than maybe you shouldn’t have a dog. And yes she is very matter of fact with her clients but she is also extremely kind and loving and that’s the only kind of person I want helping me train my dog. Don’t be cheap! If a person can’t afford an extra 70 bucks to help train their dog then don’t get the dog in the first place it’s a small price to pay to live happy with your dog for a lifetime.

T&Cs specify an area within a 15 mile radius… We’re inside this radius — 12 miles away in a straight line; or just over 15 if you drive the surface streets
But, we’re being asked for a $ 65 driving fee. This clearly is way too steep for this distance. Do not now trust the integrity of this trainer with our dog. Will look look for a more local trainer who’s fees are more realistic and honest.
It’s important to have trust in who you invite into your home.

I wish a had read the other review prior to purchasing my Living Social offer. I called Victoria about my dog. She let me speak for 7 seconds and then launched into a lecture. Her tone was very condescending. She decided that the best way was to train my dog was over the phone (like the other review stated). I explained that I thought she should meet my dog and access her personality before she could effectively train. She insisted that she would not meet my dog.
She summed up my entire beautiful dog by listening to a couple sentences. Never once did she ask about the wonderful aspects to her personality.
Our last dog trainer loved our dog and made great strides im so many areas. Sadly, she moved out of the area.
So, there are great dog trainers out there. Victoria is not one of them. Even if she was willing to meet the dogs she was accepting money to train, she is not someone you would want in your home.

This deal was for in-​home dog training. In going through the registration process with Victoria, the dog trainer, she mentioned a travel fee. She did not quote the fee (until after marking my $ 99 Living Social voucher «used»), but because I live 11 miles outside her no-​fee radius, I assumed it would be nominal — $ 5 or maybe $ 10 or worst-​case scenario, $ 20. After all, that’s about $ 1.50 in gas or $ 5 including car depreciation.
After saying, «sure, that’ll be fine,» to the unstated fee, I get a bill for $ 70! I tried to explain to her that figure was a bit ridiculous, but she refused my request for a refund and only suggested a Skype session (not exactly in-​home) or a meeting at some future date when she is in the area. (Sorry, but given the deceptive travel fee-​asco, I doubt the veracity of that offer.)
This kind of shady maneuver really sours me on all the Living Social/​Groupon deals, and I certainly would not recommend this service to anyone. I’d much rather my dog chew through a couple shoes than pay someone $ 70 for $ 1.50 worth of gas.
