History
Established in 2004.
Ciao Vito was one of the pioneers of the burgeoning Alberta Street Arts District. Founded in 2004, our mission statement was originally to provide a quality, ingredient driven restaurant supporting local farmers and fisheries while being accessible to people from all over the city. Our focus has not wavered in our 10 year history and we are very fortunate to have developed long term relationships with many of our devoted customers. Ciao Vito continues to provide outstanding food and service for any size group or budget.

I’ve lived in the Alberta Arts neighborhood since 1997 and have always wanted to work and live here. In 2004 my dream was finally realized. I am the chef/owner and set the tone for the restaurant. I am also very lucky to work with many outstanding people now and since we first opened. Some evenings I know everyone in the restaurant and that makes me proud that we continue to make people happy by working hard and not taking our business for granted. I am an RPCV/Niger 1985, graduated from Youngstown State Univeersity in 1983 and the California Culinary Academy in 1991.
