City of Noses offers daily dog walks while you are at work, pet care while you are out of town, dog boarding in our home, dog outings and play-​dates, pet transport, and more. Our goal is to make your time apart from your pet — whether due to an extra-​long work day or a vacation — as seamless and comforting to your pet as possible.

We know your pets are important to you; therefore, they are important to us.

History

Established in 2008.

I spent several years working in various administrative and clerical office positions, all the while yearning to pursue a career involving animals when, in 2007, I received an opportunity to work with an established pet-​sitting company as an independent contractor. I knew I had found my calling, and in 2008, established City of Noses Pet Sitting, LLC.

Thanks to my volunteer work with the Oregon Humane Society, my pet-​sitting background, and my own multi-​pet household (5 cats, 2 dogs, 1 fish), pet-​sitting comes naturally to me. I have helped care for senior pets and puppies needing training consistency, as well as pets of varying ages and personalities in between.

I believe pets are most comfortable in their own homes with their typical routines, and I see pet-​sitting as a way to ease the transition when pet parents need to be away from home. Whether I’m caring for your pets in your home or mine, I mirror your daily patterns as much as I can to ensure your pet’s absolute comfort.

Business Owner

Originally from Hilo, on the Big Island of Hawaii, I spent several years in Iowa, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in History from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, before moving to Portland in 1998. I have been married to my husband, Gryffyd, since 2002, and we now live in the Montavilla area of Portland. When we get time off, we enjoy spending time on the Oregon Coast with their dogs. We also enjoy bicycling and home improvement projects (though that’s unfortunately sometimes more of a necessity than a hobby!). I also love reading, specifically historical novels, crocheting, and cooking and baking.
