COBB Tuning Surgeline

I’m impressed, these guys are professional, friendly, and fast with their service. Also, they are reasonable with their prices, I shopped around when I wanted to do my stage 1 upgrade with exhaust and found them not only to have the best reputation, but also best price. HJ is a very helpful sales representative and also gives thoughtful answers to any level of question. The best money I’ve ever spent on a car.
I honestly could not be happier with the guys at Cobb Surgeline, especially HJ, their performance advisor. The entire team was professional, helpful, and always friendly and patient with my many, many questions regarding what parts to get. They are a top notch facility.

Highly recommend Cobb. Took my 14 wrx in and went stage 2. Awesome experience at the shop. It took no longer than an hour and a half. Everything is running great an plan on coming back for a tune!

Shortly after leaving this review, Cobb reached out to me and offered to diagnose my car free of charge. Not only did they diagnose the popping noise that I had been eagerly searching for, they even took me into the garage to show me what they had found. The service was friendly and they openly answered any questions that I had.
I commend Cobb for reaching out to me to make things right. Pure class. I will definitely be coming back to Cobb for my future services.

First off, I have installed many of Cobb’s products on my car (2004 Subaru STI Stage 2) which have been nothing but spectacular.
Secondly, this is about two seperate experiences.
Experience 1:
I took my car in to get the popping noise coming from the Rear differential diagnosed. I had been living with the noise, that would generate whenever my car would jerk, for some time and couldn’t pin point where it was coming from. After about 30 min. the tech takes it for a drive and comes back to tell me it has to do with my end-​links and I should replace them. I pay the man and I leave the shop a little skeptical because I know it can’t be something so simple. Low and behold, after spending $ 80 for advice and $ 200 on endlinks, the popping noise hasn’t even paused for a moment. In fact, it’s gotten worse.
Experience 2:
I went in to have a new Stage 1 clutch installed. The install seemed to go smooth and they got me out the door in no time. However, soon after the install I started to hear a wheezing sound coming from my motor that would almost disappear once the motor got hot. I never thought much of it until 4 months later when I had to remove the turbo to fix a leaking oil return line. Once I was began removing the turbo I notice that my Downpipe wasn’t even fully bolted down. One nut was missing and another was finger tight. Cobb was the last pair of hands to touch my car mechanically. I was furious.
Upon further inspection, $ 20 worth of Titanium hose clamps connecting the intercooler to the throttle body were replaced with inferior worm clamps without my knowledge. It has taken me a long time to decide on whether or not to leave feedback based on my experience, but I figure it’s best to create awareness for both Cobb and their potential customers.
Ultimately, I’m more bummed that Cobb didn’t live up to the expectations of their craftsmanship over anything else.

Id stay away from this shop. Customer service isn’t something they believe in. It took me over a month to get a quote and when I received it, it wasn’t what we talked about doing at all. It was clearly just thrown together in response to follow up after follow up emails and calls.

Cobb tuning makes high quality parts, I can’t wait to get in there for a protune.

This is the only place I trust for maintenance, repair, and performance with our two Legacy GTs. It’s worth the hour drive for me to get this type of service. Everyone you encounter here is a professional and they know Subarus (and other makes). Highly recommended.

I love this place! The people that work here are amazing. Always helpful and easy to talk to. Don’t forget to make it to a first Thursday meet! Raffles and BBQ and hang out with awesome car enthusiasts! They always take care of their customers. The office can always answer your simple to her questions… They will work to make sure you’re always a happy satisfied customer. They have an awesome tuner too!
