College Works Painting

I really want Jake from College Work earn the work. I thought its opportunity for college kids to make some $ in summer break and my house needs to be painted. The initial estimate and contract signature was straight and Jake was very easy to talk to. We signed with Jake and hand over our deposit. But after 4 weeks we were suppose to begin painting out house and confirmed the schedule. There is little or no communication. He was suppose to meet us on Friday to go over the process one more time but had to reschedule. There is very little communication after we made the deposit and we are not sure if they are going to paint our house. Repeat phone \vm\txt with no response. I am feeling little foolish to trust this guys. Good selling needs to meet by delivery. I will update this post if I ever hear back from Jake.

We finally got a hold of jake and the Job just begun. The power wash from last Saturday was very poor job. There are spider webs still hanging in my porch and loose dirty in siding. They did not bring a ladder in for the power wash in my 2.5 story home. Colleges works said to use hand towels to wipe down! There are dirty corner everywhere in the first floor they said dirt can be covered with paint!!. Since the job have already started, I have made my points but I have feeling this paint job will NOT last. Prep work is most critical. Anyone can spray, if you want quality paint job, you have to spend 2x times of painting time. I am not getting anywhere close to actual prep work.

College work used about 1 and half caulking tube and they don’t want to spend any more time and caulk as its tooo expensive. A tube at Sherwin Williams cost less than $ 3! I can’t believe this is all prep work I am going to get. They mask and tape the house 1 day after prep last Friday and its completely block out the windows. With rain and wind lots of mask is loose. The crew washes their paint brush over my strawberry plants… This has become a complete nightmare
Final update. After 3 and half 4 weeks the paint job is finally done. Adam and jake finally took over the job. Just keep I mind they hire seasonal workers and don’t expect it will be done professionally.
