this place is pretty cute and they have a lot of little gems. i didn’t buy anything amazing this time but i have a feeling i will one day. my only complaint is that did see something i just had to have. it was expensive and incredibly sentimental to me and when i explained this and asked if they could hold it they said no. oh well… i was definitely going to come back and buy it if they did.

Terrible clothing collection for dudes. Not a fan.

Community Resale is the first place I go when I want to find something fun and funky. I always have an entertaining shopping experience, due to tons of fun items and fun people behind the counter. I just purchased a FANTASTIC wood and brown velvet chair (perfect for my office!) for $ 18… can’t beat that price. One time I found a pair of very gently worn Dansko shoes for $ 6! What a score! I wore them daily for a year before they finally just sprung, and let me tell you, I’m hard on shoes. I have never been disappointed with my visit, and the place is better every time I’m in. Woo-​hoo! I’m going to Community Resale!

went into this store on a lazy sunday afternoon looking for a coat/​hat rack. i was the only person in the store, besides the clerk. without saying hello or making any eye contact, she literally followed me all the way to the back of the store about 5 – 10 feet behind me, trying to look inconspicuous. uh, hello, could you be any more obvious? i felt like i was being tailed by inspector clouseau. how unfriendly and irritating. i saw a few things in there i would buy, but was so put off by the clerk’s lack of trust that i just left.

I always find something and prices are decent and the folks are super nice.

So, I live about equidistant from Community Resale and Rerun. Hate to compare, but I must, since they are both consignment stores with a similar junque-​thrift vibe and aesthetic.
Rerun: Stock ever changing, I am compelled to stop in AT LEAST once a week to see what’s new and I’m rarely disappointed. And why? The prices are great, so the merchandise turns over continuously. Great business model — the place is thriving.
Community Resale: Although I have found some things there, I just don’t stop in as often because merch just sits there. Why? Prices are nowhere near as enticing as Rerun, and some things seem downright expensive. I’ve seen similar desks at Rerun and Community Resale sell for $ 30 and $ 85 respectively.
So, my advice to Community Resale owners (who are very sweet, always friendly), if business ever seems a bit slow on the weekend, take a drive over to Rerun and be blown away at the sheer volume of business they are doing. Notice that even though consigners may make less, more consigners choose Rerun because the stuff sells.

Stopped in here on Memorial Day and was very pleasantly greeted by a dude behind the counter who said «if you’re over 21, I got ice cold Pabst.» Ummm… well, yea, don’t mind if I do!
Very smart business tactic. Get them loaded and having fun looking at goofy antiques and they just gotta buy something they never would have without the alcohol. Or since we just got a free beer, we feel its only hospitable to at least buy a coaster or sumpin’.
Which I did. I found these awesome really heavy rock coasters that had some vintage ladies printed on front with sayings like «Martini Queenie.» Hell yes.
Lots of fun stuff to check out, great deals and friendly staff. I’d come back just to kick it here and not buy anything. That’s how welcomed you feel.

I go to and like Community Resale for a number of reasons.
1. The owners are awesome!
2. I can often find used items that are of higher quality and sold at a better price than like items sold new. Imagine, inexpensive meets high-​end.
3. In a world filled with disposable crap, enduring value is something I value.
4. The owners have a nose for stuff with enduring value.
5. If it’s possible, they do not seem to be motivated by making the highest possible profit margin. I know it seems too good to be true but I’ve purchased some seriously nice stuff for a fraction of what I could have paid for it.
6. It’s within walking distance of my house. Ha ha!

Not only is this place OUTSTANDING if you’re looking for a great deal on vintage-​y resale items, the people working there (The owners, I think?) were genuinely kind and fun to talk to. The kind of people you meet and immediately love and want to go sit and get to know over a pint of local beer in a sweet neighborhood dive…
Anyway, the store itself is smallish, but it is packed full of amazing art, furniture, jewels, fabric, clothing, shoes, household items, handbags (a cute little Kate Spade number that I can’t get out of my head!) and trinkets.
My mission today was to locate costume items for a pin-​up photoshoot this afternoon so I had a goal and little time. The time I did spend in Community Resale was worth it (but left me longing for more)! I found just about everything I was looking for, VERY reasonably priced, after having looked in vain at several other places that were way overpriced and offered half the quality.
I can’t wait to go back to this place. I can’t wait to chat with Kyle and Lindsey (sp?) again. I can’t wait to tell all of my friends about it — even though I’d love to keep it all to myself and soak up all of the great deals, great items and great atmosphere allllll by myself… that would just be wrong. That would be false. These guys deserve lots of business. Go spend your money there!

This is a vintage, thrift store bargain hunter’s dream. Time flies when you enter the doors. Take your time and meander through their collection of fun and quirky things. I wished I lived nearby so I could make this a regular stop.

I just visited this amazing place for the first time the other day. There are so many fun things crammed in community resale, it could take hours to go through it all. Imagine a store with a lot of rad, random stuff that you may or may never need. Most everything is reasonably priced as well and the employees (get this!) are actually friendly. Honestly I only talked to one, but if the rest (if there are more…) are like him, then I’m blown away.
I believe I walked out of there with five smallish items (fun fabric, a mushroom can thing, a hat, another mushroom thing… something else…) and it cost right around $ 20. Cool furniture abounds as well. I kind of don’t want to write a review about it to keep it my little secret (and apparently a few others) but they deserve the business. Oh and a side note, they are now open seven days a week so people like myself who always try to go in on mondays when it is closed, can be delighted to now find the doors open! I think their hours changed slightly though.

I need a seven stars option immediately.
I thought it couldn’t get any better, and then it did. I go here at least once a week to look over all the new fun things contained within. An even bigger bonus? One of the ladies who owns space in the shop seems to have an immense vintage coat collection — all in my size! There has been talk of an amazing leopard-​print number that might be coming my way.
Oh, and my bedroom has made leaps and bounds towards approaching «boudoir» status since I found a super amazing converted oil lamp here that casts red light all over my piles of laundry on the floor.

fun store in my new neighborhood. it’s like shopping a really cool, really condensed flea market. i used to go to the ginormous Alameda Flea Mart when i lived in the Bay Area — and this is like a super tiny mini version. i got a cool toy for my son and a really adorable alcohol dispenser wiht a little platform that holds 6 little glasses. i’ll be checkin in regularly to see what other cool finds i can discover.
