Dont even think about it!!! The quality of the food was really bad the chicken tasted like nothing it was hard/chewy as a shoe, I asked for spicy vegetables and I only tasted soy sauce. There was also one waitress for the whole restaurant and intake calls — he was busy so service was bad. My husband asked for lemon pepper wings, flavor was ok but it was just a cheap quality chicken. We left all the food in the table I don’t know why it has so many good reviews… I wont come back!

I used to like food at this place. But yesterday it was disaster. Ordered to go, 2 simples dishes: bun thit nuong and Thai noodle chicken. They said 20 minutes, no problem. After 20 minutes, I checked and they said oh yes it will be ready in a few minutes, 10 minutes, still not ready… Finally, after 40 minutes, food is ready with all excuses. Bad services. I wish they improve on the process when taking order, write down name, order #, then give cook correct dishes and give out to the right persons.

So far I’ve tried 3 things… 1. the Chicken Garlicky Greens(be still my heart — WHAT is that sauce? Who knew veggies could be such fresh, sugary heaven?! I asked about the sauce … the man demurred and said it was the cook’s «special.» I’m guessing soy + sugar + love. If you find out, pls tell me! I want to know if my healthy meal actually counts as healthy.) *update, the woman told me it was a combo of Hoisin Sauce, sugar, and something else. 2. the Tom Yum Soup w Shrimp(high-quality), 3. and the Beef Phở(yum — very flavorful stock). Lots of people here for takeout @ 7pm on a Thurs. Think I’ve found a jewel.

Amazing Thai. Live the Red curry chicken with veg and also the Tom Kha. Busy most nights and very family friendly décor and menu.

Similar to several other reviews — food here is a 5* — service is inconsistent thus a 3*. The food is great. I love the combination of Thai and Vietnamese. My husband is OBSESSED with the pineapple fried rice. I typically order the Tom Kah with a side of rice(delicious!). We typically order take-out. We’ve called ahead several times, and it seems that we get our food quicker if we order at the location and wait in the waiting area(odd!) Typically if you call in, and they give you a 25 minute quote — you drive up 25 minutes later and grab your food, right? Most of the time at CT, we pull in 25 minutes later, wait another 25 minutes in-store and grab our food. However, ordering at the counter seems to cut out 25 minutes… ha! The servers are never rude, it just seems like there isn’t a good system for managing orders to-go. However, this isn’t a big enough reason for us to try elsewhere.

We’ve had the tom yum soup, garlic pepper wings, pad thai, phở ga and phở bo. All were good but I’d do the chicken phở over the beef here. Was not a fan, tasted dry and the broth was not memorable. Friendly staff and they have good thai tea.

Delicious food. They accommodate gluten free! I only gave them 4 stars instead of five because of slow service on a busy evening. We are taking our salad rolls to go because they brought them as we were finishing our main dishes. The basil fried rice was flavorful. Both of my kids absolutely loved it. I ordered an eggplant stir fry with chicken that had an amazing flavor. The chicken was very tender.

Best Chicken Noodle Soup I have ever had! Great service. My boyfriend had the Beef Phở and also some of the best he has ever had. Will definitely be back! Yum!

The biggest problem with this place is the service. The food is good although I would like to see lemon grass chicken on their menu or a weekly special. They need more waiters and ones that are better trained! It wouldn’t surprise me if ½ of their orders are to go now as people don’t want to sit and wait and wait.

Their pineapple fried rice is pretty good. Lemon Pepper wings are awesome.

Saw the great reviews so I had to come try it and I gotta say thank you Unilocalers! Everything that I’ve tried has been really good and the wings here are amazing! Garlic Pepper Wings are my favorite

Food 5 stars Service 2.5 stars Called in my order at about 6:15 on a Friday night, 15 minutes they said, I gave them 25 just in case. In the door there were 12 tables which quickly grew to 16, 5 people lined up one of which one was trying to pay while the others were waiting for food«to go». No apparent method of managing the orders, no apparent water refills or other serving going on, dirty tables. I paid, they saw which order was mine, barked to the kitchen, found out the salad rolls and spring rolls were still not ready. Waited another 15 minutes for our order, saw the rolls come thru the window to join our entrée which was sitting there getting cold the entire time we waited. Spring rolls were excellent, crispy and very meaty, the portion size is excellent, 4 rolls. The dipping sauce was a little too fishy, needed more sweetness and acid. Fresh Rolls were delicious, nicely sized, heavy on the noodles. We had to add more peanut butter to the peanut sauce, it was a little too watery. Bun Thit Nuong, Grilled Pork/Noodle/Egg Roll was very good, the pork was tender and flavorful, and the veggies crisp. The portions are generous, we had plenty to split between us. Too bad the service sucks so badly because the food is excellent. I will go back for sure, but not on a Friday night.

I have to update again to increase my rating to five stars. I have been coming here since they opened. Over the years the service has been a touch uneven on and off but the food has not. The food is on point. Thai food, Vietnamese food, and chicken wings under one roof? Weird? Well maybe. But this little place turns out yummy hot food in all three categories. We have never had bad food. We get it to go, often. Phở Ga for Princess with beautiful clear broth, tender chicken breast, fresh add ins. She also likes Chicken Satay, Tom Kah Soup with tofu, and Thai Iced Tea. I like the Pad Thai, the Garlicky Greens, the Bun, Lemon Pepper wings, the Grilled Pork rice plate, the Pineapple Fried Rice, the Yellow Curry. All are plentiful and tasty. You can see from my pictures. We eat here a lot. If I have any petty complaint it would be their menu does not change. No specials. No new arrivals. I wouldn’t mind seeing a Pad See Ew or Lemongrass chicken salad once in a while. Or a Kha Soi noodle or Viet moon crêpe. That’s minor though. They do the food they do very well. Closed on Sundays.

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area! They have many great dishes on their menu and the food always comes out quickly and I’ve never had a complaint about the food quality. The servers here aren’t the best; if they had more friendly staff, I would give this place 5 stars. It’s small and quaint inside, but many customers seem to get their food to go so there’s always seating. The spring rolls are some of the best around town, and their grilled chicken plates are savory. I’ll be back time and time again!

This place is amazing. So glad we discovered it. First I ordered the Tom Yum soup(small) and I thought she got my order wrong because it was HUGE! But it was right! For $ 5, it was a full order easy! Shareable between 2 – 3 people. I got the Pad Kee Mao, Hubby ordered the Com Chien Saigon(fried rice with shrimp, sausage, and pork.) Both I was impressed with! The server was also very nice. We will be back :)

They changed ownership, the food wasn’t as good recently, maybe just woking out the kinks of a new restaurant. Might try again in a few months as this place has been pretty consistent the past few years…

For those living on the west side of Portland, rejoice! Here’s an affordable and scrummy place for decent Thai/Vietnamese noms. Pad thai is HUGE and chock full of meat and a nice, mild peanut sauce that isn’t cakey or thick. I tried another dish that has very thin rice vermicelli noodles in a spicy sauce that hints of hoisin sauce and stir-fried with various vegetables and meat. Phở is a little expensive and the broth is all right – I’d go for the Thai side of the cuisine here! Apparently this place also serves wings and fries… rather random but it’s a cool concept that draws in other customers who just want a snack!

This is my new go-to phở joint. Amazingly, it’s also my new go-to WING joint! The phở broth is quite tasty, the noodles don’t immediately make the broth a starchy mess, the meatballs taste fresh, and I can order extra tendons and skip the tripe! Now for the wings: the garlic pepper wings are amazing. Perfectly fried, no messy sauce to get in the way(for saucy wings, try Rock N Wingz). Perfectly seasoned, the garlic and pepper are both potent enough without being overwhelming. The dip also was very good, and did not taste like a store bought mess. My fiancé and I have been there twice now, and been very very happy both times. The service didn’t suffer from the same malady as in other reviews; we got prompt, direct, and friendly service from different servers each time. I shall update when I try more of the Thai dishes on this list, but I will most definitely be back.

Ugh! I LOVE the food at CT Viet Thai Bistro, but they really have to hire some more people and get a good ventilator in there! The past few times I’ve been, there is one poor older(think grandpa age) gentleman waiting on ALL of the tables(like 20, maybe). I’ve waited tables and that’s just an impossible number for one person to manage. One time he was even manning the counter for payments and take-out orders and said he was working all alone. If you’ve been to CT, you know it gets absolutely slammed sometimes, too. We went this past weekend and again the older gentleman was the only waiter. They also forgot to bring out part of our order(despite 3 requests) and we ended up leaving just as it was ready. As soon as we got home, I had to shower and change my clothes, I stank so bad like fry oil. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their food and it’s been excellent every time, but don’t know that I will do anything beyond take-out anymore given the super slow service and overwhelming odor. Makes me sad. :-(

On one other trip i got the Garlicky greens with chicken to go. It was not that great as the sauce was too watery and by the time i reached home, it had separated to the bottom of the to-go container and the chicken felt bland as a result. I got their Lemon pepper wings which was very good.
