Great transaction! Fair trade in value and good price on new ride. Sales team is hard working and the crew runs a tight ship. Amazing vehicle stock. Amenities were good. Art work up on walls looked progressive and cool. Location easy to deal with after driving a fair distance to a place im unfamiliar with. I’ll make an effort to use them again.

One day I will buy a Porsche from these guys. Always nice and pleasant to walk in and see some sweet cars. Nice sales guys I’ve never had a problem with them. 5 stars for these guys.

Great experience. Bought a BMW X3 from here a few weeks ago… got good vibes from the place. They were willing to make me a fair deal and let me take the car to a 2^nd party mechanic to get it inspected which I always recommend. The owner, Daniel, is good with his word and I am a very happy customer with my car!

Thank you for responding to my post so quickly, that demonstrates you care about your business. I share this in hopes you’ll take it and use it to proactively improve your business.
1. Whether you have 2 or 20 employees, they can still make eye contact and say, «I’m sorry, I’m with another customer, but I’ll help you in a minute.» That’s just basic business sense. And it’s polite.
2. Take responsibility when your company makes mistakes. The Volvo V70 I test drove a few years back barely made it around the block and couldn’t do 15mph without seizing up, plus it and the other V70 I tested had dead batteries. If that’s an «inspection» then raise the standard for your mechanics or get new ones. Having those vehicles on the lot was unacceptable.
3. «Follaw» is spelled «Follow». No spaces before commas or periods. I mentioned the «laissez faire attitude» and «gaggle of teenagers at the mall» and the response, while thought out, reinforced that belief: wouldn’t have passed by my AP English teacher much less a modern day spell & grammar check. Take a breath and a day before responding; this is a public forum, present your best face and communication skills.

D&C has shiny cars. A lot of shiny cars. Beautiful cars. Cars any car lover would slobber over on entering their squeaky clean dealership. Oh, that new car smell is overwhelmingly wonderful! And yet after having visited their dealerships the last three times I was in the market I choose not to buy from them even though they had the vehicles I was looking for.
This is why:
I discovered them years ago when looking for an older Volvo v70. They had a couple on the lot. Drove in with my wife to check them out. We fantasized about all the shiny cars as we walked around their lot then started to wonder why neither of the salesman were even giving us eye contact. Maybe it’s just one of those days, I thought at the time, but of the three times I’ve stopped there it’s consistently the only dealership I have to walk right up to a salesman and ask, «Can you help me?» (It’s also the only one I’ve been told, «Sure, just give me a minute,» after which they seem to forget about me completely)
The two V70’s they had appeared in top condition, but neither had their batteries charged so both had to be jumped. One almost broke down just four blocks from the dealership (it wouldn’t do over 15 mph without the engine cutting out); the transmission obviously had major problems. The reps’ surprise demonstrated an obvious ignorance of the state of the vehicles they were trying to sell.
The laissez faire attitude didn’t stop there. On calling or e-​mailing questions to them over the years the responses I’ve received were more like what I’d expect from a sixteen year old too busy updating their FaceBook status. Responses tended towards the short, impersonal, and even unprofessional: the last time I e-​mailed to negotiate a better price on a car they were asking 25% more than Kelly Blue Book; the person who responded was arguably passive aggressive, implying they didn’t need to haggle with someone like me because they’d gotten someone who doesn’t know about KBB to purchase it for their (bloated) asking price. He didn’t even ask if I’d even be interested in the other vehicle of the same make and model on their lot.
«Mind giving me a quote on what you’d offer for my trade in?» I asked last time around. «Sure,» they said, wrote down my information, then never called back. I guess they don’t want my business. And apparently they don’t need it.
I’ve never purchased from them so I can’t comment on how they handle that process or if the car I’d end up with is as solid on the inside as it appears on the outside. What I can say is that every time I’ve given them a chance the red flags go off. Their cars are shiny and beautiful but nearly half of them I’ve test driven have had obvious mechanical problems they weren’t aware of. Anytime I’ve appraised their vehicles they’ve asked ten to twenty percent more than the fair market value (assuming the vehicles were in top notch mechanical condition). And their floor room culture is more reminiscent of gaggles of teenagers at the mall than a serious business. Yep, they got shiny and beautiful vehicles, luxury vehicles that many who shop here probably couldn’t afford new, but the axiom «It’s what’s on the inside that counts» is spot on when it comes to buying a car, hence why my wife and I will not be returning when we plan to replace her vehicle sometime next year.
D&C: Three strikes and you’re out!

I’ve bought a lot of cars in my life. There are «good» dealers and «bad» ones. D&C is one of the few good ones in town. I bought a solid LR3 from them and they made the process quick and painless. Being a used dealership, things can go wrong mechanically and unfortunately on mine they did within two weeks – it was the alternator. Dan took care of it and made good on their promise to make it right. Most dealers would just say «tough luck» but they didn’t, and had it back to me in two days, good as new.
Nice selection of cars too. Luxury names with good curation of vehicles.

My husband and I just bought our second car from D&C in less than 3 months, and I can not say enough good things about working with them.
The first car we purchased from them was a 2008 Audi S4 Avant Wagon… a hard to find car that my husband had been coveting for years. They gave us a good price for the A3 we traded in, and the whole process was really really smooth. We had one small issue with the S4 a month or two after we bought it, and I will say that these guys stand behind their vehicles.
This past weekend, we decided it was time to get a second car, and before going anywhere else, we went straight to D&C. They gave us a (better than) fair price on my old beetle that we traded in, and we got a fantastic 2009 Touareg w/​low miles. We are both totally thrilled.
If you want a simple, easy, no-​pressure enviornment, this is 100% the place to buy your next car. the showroom is nice, all the sales guys are totally mellow, it honestly is the best.
I can’t imagine that we would work with anyone but D&C Motors on our next car purchase!

I recently went in to look at a sweet bmw convertible and as I walked in the sales manager asked me why i was there– and after i told him he simply said «take it for a spin” — I was a little shoicked at his nonchalance, no id, nothing– just «go for a spin»
I was instantly sold but it was a 58 000 original mile 15 year old car that is in showroom condition. I gladly paid like $ 2000 over blue book and absolutely love this car. Their showroom is packed with deals and spectacular cars– you gotta go see it!

I bought my Jetta from Nick almost four years ago. Right off the bat I had a terrible experience– literally driving my car home from the lot. I had to put almost $ 2,000 into it in the first eight months. At one point they offered to buy it back from me. And when I consented to that, they changed their minds and I was then stuck with further repairs.
Recently I looked into trading in my car as a down payment on another vehicle, but when the VIN was scanned to check carfax, I was told it had «structural damage» reported on it and that the only way to sell my car would be as a private seller. However I have never been in an accident and according to the carfax they provided for me– it hadn’t been in one prior to me purchasing it. So now I am stuck trying to sell a car with apparent structure damage that I was never aware of, because they either didn’t check out the car before they sold it, or they did and sold it anyway with some sort of forget carfax.
I don’t know. But nevertheless, I have been on constant unhappy customer for a few years now.

The salesmen were very friendly, but not pushy. They were knowledgable of all of their vehicles, without coming across like know it alls. They even steered us into a great warrantee. We love our new car and when we get another I’ll go back there.

Beware of this dealership!!! They are faking the Carfax records!!!
I went to this car dealer with my friends today for the Mini Cooper, the car looks nice on their website but when we check out the vehicle we found serveral damage on the car, so we request to view the Carfax for that vehicle, the Carfax they showed us have a damage/​accident title and personal lease records, so we decided to leave because we can’t accept the vehicle with damage/​accident records but still with high price tag ($ 4000 more than market price). When we walk back to our car and ready to leave there is two salesman followed us and knock my window said they want made that deal and ask us reconsider it. They said the Carfax they showed us is’wrong Carfax from another car they selling and the actual vehicle we are looking have no accident record’. So we decide go inside and view the ‘real Carfax ’ again. The salesman said they need 10min to get the Carfax sent to them so we just wait 10min before they ask us walk in the room to view the Carfax. Okay the second Vehicle history records they showed us is very clean but it is kinda weird cuz the second Carfax have all Of the car history include number of owners, type of owners even oil change services are the same as the first one (except damage/​accident) so I suspect the 2^nd one is fake, then I asked they show me the first one to compare, but they made excuse to me that ‘the first one is wrong Carfax so it’s been deleted’. Alright they want made this thing to the next level… so id like to play with them, then I just go outside took a snap shot from the vehicle’s windshield cuz I know the car itself don’t lie… and then I compare the Vin# I took from the car to the 2^nd clean Carfax they showed to us — it’s two complete different Vin#, game is over. Well the salesman finally realize we have spot the trick he just give up and start honest to us’Sorry this car do have a damage/​accident so what kinda deal you looking for?’ They treat customers like sucker but they still want make deal with you, don’t waste your time at this place there is so many good car dealers around Portland this is just a most shitty one. For whoever own this car dealership, if you didn’t know your employee act like a professional scammer you should just kick them out of your company! And I’m very happy to provide the information about those two salesman.
1.The 10 min we have been asked wait outside, they probably use this time to fake a ‘new clean Carfax’.
2. The VIN# on the fake Carfax is pretty like the same as the original one, they start with five to six of same letter but end with complete different digit number, so if you don’t look closer you can’t find out the different – and of cause they not going to tell ya its different.
3. Real story, believe it or just go verify it yourself.

It is nice to do business with a company that actual keeps their word. This a dealer that works hard to win your business and make sure everything they committed to is delivered. My family will definitely visit D & C before even considering making an offer at an other dealer. I LOVE my ML…(thanks Nick)

Normally we buy our cars at Broadway Toyota, they didn’t have what we wanted (2008 model, it was a trade in THEY had) & D&C did. We had Matthew help us buy a Toyota here ³⁄₁₃ Things went smoothly. They replaced the battery & put new tires on it the day we bought it & detailed it as well. They weren’t pushy or annoying, seemed pretty straight forward. I don’t feel there were any games played. We have had the car for 1 week & our mechanic said the car looks good! Thank you Sam, Lou &Matthew for your help, it was a quick painless process for us.

Bought a shiny pretty Passat AWD wagon for a seemingly good price. It was clean clean and shiny and I was tricked by the shine. Even checked the Carfax which looked clean. Did not get it checked out by mechanic before buying I was so «impressed». First time I took it into the dealer for an oil change I had them check it out. Found out there were huge problems with the car, iiterally thousands of dollars of problems, engine, transmission, brakes, torque converter, cooling system. VW Dealer told me to get rid of it as soon as possible. Tried to trade it in 6 months after buying it. Toyota dealer would only give me $ 500 while I paid $ 10,000 six months before. They said it appeared it had been in an accident– they could see traces of primer paint peeking through which I didn’t notice. They said the accident repairs could have been paid with cash and then the repairs would not show up on carfax. Seems like a real shyster operation. A $ 10,000 loss for me. Grrrrrr.
Lesson learned — the shine can trick you and don’t buy off a used car lot without having a mechanic check out car before buying.

Just Moved here from chicago walked in felt great, very helpful answered all questions that i had i bought a very nice Bmw 525i i love the car and recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a quietly experience. ive bought a few cars and this is by far the best experience ever im a D&C customer for ever! My husband, kids and I went to D & C Motorz several times to look at a few of the Land Rovers they had on their lot. We took at least 5 test drives requiring the staff to move a few cars each time. They gave us Carfax reports without any fees and their was zero pressure.
We picked the one that suited us best and signed the papers and we were off. lol
5 days later; D & C Motorz repaired our LR and ate the cost for it did not pass DEQ as they stated it would.
We will be definitely return to buy another vehicle when ever the time should arise.

Bought a 2004 Audi Allroad, car is in great shape, with only small cosmetic details to address. Price was competitive for this car, year and milage. Sale and transaction swift and painless. I would go back.

Recently purchased a 2001 Audi S4 here… I’d done some shopping around for similar Audis and BMWs, but few other places have the selection and quality of the European cars here. The S4 I ended up with I got at a fair price, and in excellent condition to boot. The staff were casual yet professional to work with… very low-​pressure environment.

We bought our first volvo from these guys over thanksgiving. Had one minor mechanical issue that they took care of. Made good on all promises made during the transaction. Went so well we are in the process of purchasing another from them! Very laid back with fair prices.
