I am a primary care naturopathic physician who can address the same problems you would typically see a conventional family physician for. Naturopaths can prescribe medications, order lab tests and do physical exams, however we put a much stronger emphasis on diet and lifestyle, herbal medicine and a more holistic approach to the treatment of disease.

I am also an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. Some patients see me solely for this aspect of my practice, others come for a combination of acupuncture and naturopathic approaches.

Business Owner

I am a naturopathic physician, licensed acupuncturist, board certified Chinese herbalist and host of the radio show Healthwatch on KBOO 90.7 FM in Portland, Oregon. I’ve been in practice since 1998. I received my doctorate of naturopathic medicine and masters of science in Oriental medicine at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. My undergraduate education was at the University of Colorado/​Boulder, a dual degree in Environmental Conservation (a combination of biology, geography, and climatology) and Philosophy. Prior to becoming a physician I was a biology technician working in Colorado and Venezuela measuring methane from alpine and tropical lakes for the global greenhouse model.
