We have been working in the spa industry for over 22 combined yrs and have found the perfect fit for providing clients with customer service tranquility and peaceful drifting away from the hustle and bustle of life. we started our own spa with the focus of «Drift into Bliss» and love what we do. Our focus at Daydream Bodyworks is all about the customers and the customer service. We are a boutique style spa so that we can standout and really concentrate on the individual. What an amazing experience!!!
I had worked over 60 hours in 4 days so headed to Daydream Bodyworks for some pampering. Michaela did an incredible job of taking care of me. First she gave me a facial that left my skin glowing… then the best part …
The Hydro Pod experience

I went here to get a Brazilian wax after not having gotten a Brazilian for a year. Needless to say, I was very nervous. The waxer (michela I think is her name) was very nice and knowledgeable about waxing which made me very comfortable. I have an extremely low pain tolerance and usually swell and get very red after waxes. After getting this wax, I have no swelling or redness, and I would rank of a 2⁄10 in terms of pain. It was the most thorough and painless brad okay wax I’ve ever gotten, and having lived in Hawaii for a number of years I’ve gotten my fair share of brazilians. Definitely go here!

I wish I could give Daydream Bodyworks 10 stars. I literally reactivated and reset my password for my Unilocal account to write this review. My wife and I received a gift certificate for Daydream Bodyworks and decided to get massages on a Saturday afternoon. We live near Augusta, so the drive is a little over an hour to get to Portland. The entire experience was customer service at its BEST. We called because we did not know where to park and Joseph kindly offered to hold a space for us in front of the spa. Once we got there, we were greeted by both Michaela and Joseph and received the most wonderful 60-​minute swedish massages. When it was over, my wife looked at me and said, «is this what a child feels like — without pain?» It’s clear that both Michaela and Joseph not only love what they do, but are exceptionally talented. If you are looking for a genuinely personal atmosphere and experience (unlike some other spas in Portland), Daydream Bodyworks is hands down the place to go. We will absolutely keep driving more than an hour away to go back here and I look forward to exploring other services that they offer.

I’ve been going to DDB for years now. First, just for massages and facials. Michaela is so awesome to see. She’s a real person who really cares about her business, you are not just a ticket to push out the door. When I inquired about waxing, I told her about my horror story of the one and only time I’d been waxed before. She insisted that it shouldn’t be that painful and if I wanted to try again she would go slow. Well, being the huge baby I am (fact: redheads have lower pain tolerance) it took me four visits until I was completely done but I AM SO HAPPY I DID IT. She was so patient with me and let me take as many 5 minute breathers as I needed to. I didn’t feel pressured for time at all. Now that I keep up on it, I look forward to seeing her every few weeks for my wax.

Only the best products are used and she really knows her stuff when it comes to proper skin care. I highly recommend any of her fabulous facials, my favorite being the photo facial! I have never had such thorough, effective services anywhere, let alone other local spots. Joseph is a miracle worker, healer and masseuse extraordinaire. I have seen him for the past three years and plan a trip to Portland expressly for his massages (oh and Duck Fat fries and a Mt Desert ice cream!). He knows his stuff and remembers my body’s quirks year after year. I try to see him at least twice each trip — he’s just that good. And he’s a super sweet guy. Massages are not gentle — they are designed to heal and re-​align your body. You will leave sore but walking taller and ready to sleep like a baby. I can’t say enough good things about Joseph. I have been getting monthly massages for 20 years and there’s no one better!

Daydream was amazing! My husband had a deep tissue massage and I got a Swedish massage, and we both agree they were the best massages we’ve ever had. They were thorough and really customize the service to what we wanted and needed. The four of us chatted through some of the massage, so it was the perfect combination between fun and relaxing. If we come back to Portland we’ll definitely come back here for massages!

I recently went in for the Ultimate Face Lift Facial and I have to say that I was very impressed! My skin has never felt this soft before, and for days after the facial it felt amazing and glowing! I have had a few of Michaela’s other facials and they are all great but this one takes the cake! I’m hooked and have already book another appointment. It’s nice to be able to remember what young skin feels like :) Thank you Michaela for my newest addiction!
Oh, and an extra bennie that day was while she was waiting for product to penetrate my skin she gave me a wonderful neck/​should/​arm massage.

Wonderful oasis in the heart of downtown. I went in with a Groupon deal expecting to be overwhelmed, and quite honestly was blown away. Amazing facial– my sister told me she’s never seen my skin look so good– and the body scrub was great. Joseph’s a peach. Will be back!

One of the best massages I have ever received, and I’m extremely picky! I’ve become a regular bikini waxing customer and have no complaints! Michaela (one of the owners) works with you and your body type, making you feel comfortable and at ease, and does and outstanding job. I will never switch to another massage parlor as long as they’re in business.

DAY SCREAM — BODY HURTS
I scheduled a wax and massage here with Michaela, the owner, and quickly learned that she was VERY inexperienced. I get waxed on a regular basis, with no problem and I have to say, she has NO idea what she is doing! My skin was left red and raw and the area was bruised. It was really upsetting because it looked disgusting and took a while to heal. My husband saw it and was horrified!
I was hoping my massage that day would be a better experience, but unfortunatly it was not. She dug so hard into my skin and muscle and when I told her that it was really painful, she said not to worry and that I’d feel better the following day. The next day I was more sore and had bruises. Never again.
I would NOT wish this torture on anyone!

I have been seeing Michaela for years! I first met her when she was working at a spa in the Old Port and when she struck out on her own, I followed — it was a no-​brainer. I have seen Michaela for facials, massage and waxing and she is fabulous at all. She never pushes product and is very knowledgeable about not only the work she is doing but also the available products. She is discrete and sensitive to your feelings… she’s also super nice and regardless of what you have done — it’s sure to be a great experience. I recommend without hesitation. She’s also not crazy expensive like so many of the spas in the Old Port. Give her a try — you will NOT be disappointed!
