I wish I had looked on Unilocal before I went into this place. I just moved from CA and was looking forward to building an AR without all the CA restrictions. I told the sales guy that I might have some problems on my background check so I wasn’t willing to risk their non-refundable $ 100 fee if I didn’t pass. He convinced me to go ahead and buy the receiver but just don’t initial the parts of the form about the non-refundable fee and told me he’s sure I’ll have no problems. Two weeks later when I called them they said I didn’t pass and the same sales guy said«sorry dude I’ll check with management but I don’t think they’re going to approve your refund». He never bothered to call me back and a month later I got a refund check in the mail minus the $ 100. Now I would really like to sue these guys in small claims court but I live at the coast and unfortunately it’s not worth taking a whole day off from work to deal with this. On the plus side the sales guy was really friendly and helpful while he was screwing me over. Their selection of AR lowers wasn’t very good but I live at the coast where there are no gun stores that sell lowers and unfortunately I happened to drive by these guys.

I stopped by today(6⁄24) to see what they had in stock. In terms of pistols they had the top brands for reasonable prices. They also had a few AR-10s and AR-15s that are priced for the current market. I noticed they had some cool attachments and magazines for competitive prices. Then I walked to the ammo section. I was surprised how much .223÷5.56 and 45acp they had in stock. The reason it is in stock is because you will need a second mortgage to afford it. I asked why it was so high(nearly double what it should be) and was told it is «basic supply and demand». I am all for capitalism but I dont want my local gun shop to not make a buck off me. I also learned their transfer fee is $ 100. I don’t know what that $ 100 is for unless they bring it to my door and pick me up to take me to a shooting range or something. Anyways, I would look for a gun shop with cheaper ammo and a reasonable FFL transfer fee. The employees were nice though.

Way over priced! Guns there are $ 200.00 more than the other places, plus a 3% fee for using your credit card. I walked straight out after seeing the prices I can buy a gun online have it shipped and it still would be $ 100.00 cheaper.

I thought the 2 young dudes running this place tonight were awesome. They answered all my questions even albeit some might have been dumb. A lot of gun shop people love to give you their opinion on what they think is the best, often downplaying what you’re interested in, these two guys were just plain informative and let me decide for me, even had some laughs with them and I wasn’t even there to buy. Regarding their prices, gun sales are very competitive, if you don’t like their prices stfu and go down the street to the place with a better deal instead of bitching on Unilocal. No one is forcing you to buy from them. The bad reviews on here give this shop a bad name I don’t think they deserve.

I’m not saying they have the best prices in town but the amazing lack of douchebaggery is what keeps me coming back. The staff is knowledgeable about their product and doesa good job staying within your needs. They were able to help me out with a number of purchases while I was home on R&R including some specialty items on my list. I say check them out.

The guys at discount guns answer my questions patiently and if they don’t know an answer they will research it and get back to me. If they don’t have what I am looking for one of the stuff has routinely kept an eye out for things he knows are on my wish list and notified me when he has found good deals. Now that I am thinking about it, I have never had this high level of customer service at any other gun store.

I come from the«if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all» school, but Jezzus on a pogo-stick: $ 50 for a transfer fee if you buy a gun elsewhere and want it shipped there. Anywhere else: $ 20. That just isn’t right. I can understand times are tough, and they have overhead, but $ 30 more than anywhere else? Really?

NO discounts! Lots of hidden charges. 20% restocking fee. $ 10 fee to do background check which other merchants do not charge. Credit Card Use Fee of 3% which breaks their Merchant Agreement with the Credit Card Companies. You must sign all kinds of statements so they are protected, but you are screwed. These are sleazy business people. Cabela’s has a new store that just opened in Springfield, OR — go there!

Look for the plain sign saying ‘gun store’. Pretty much only tactical stuff. Mostly ar and magpul stuff. Good handgun selection if it’s plastic and hi cap that you’re after. Prices are ok no deals but they have it, Right there. Good to have a store like this. Just wish their prices were a bit better.
