Business Owner

Dr. Erica Zelfand is a family physician, medical writer, and health educator.

«Dr. Z» facilitates healing through education, inspiration, and empowerment. She integrates her knowledge in western and natural medicine to offer a full range family practice, with special interests in gynecology, endocrinology, and digestive health.

Building on the foundations of western medicine, Dr. Z’s therapeutic approach also includes clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, injection therapies, & lifestyle counseling.

Dr. Z earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, OR, graduating with High Honors. While in training, she completed three rigorous internships: one in advanced gynecology, one in cardiopulmonary medicine, and one in the management of chronic illness.

Dr. Z completed a residency in family practice at the NCNM clinic prior to co-​founding Natura Integrative Medicine.

I had the pleasure of being Dr. Zelfand’s intern as part of my graduate studies and I was blown away by her professionalism, wisdom, knowledge and spectacular patient care. Dr. Z is an amazing family practitioner but, in my opinion, does especially well with kids and young adults. I admire the way she acknowledges their autonomy in the appointment and explains medicine so that they can understand too. Dr. Z also balances the best of both allopathic and naturopathic medicine effectively and realizes that individual care is the only way to treat a patient. If you’re looking for a doctor for yourself and your family — she is the one for you! There isn’t a challenge she isn’t willing to tackle.

Dr. Erica Zelfand is as good as it gets. She is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable as a physician… but as important, she is conscientious and caring as a person. I can’t recall a time that I have felt so well listened to when in the presence of a doctor. Additionally, she has taught me more about health and my own body than all the doctors that I have worked with before her… combined! Dr. Zelfand is an incredible doctor and person. She was the best resident I ever had at The National College of Natural Medicine and I learned so much from her both as a student and colleague.
Dr. Zelfand goes above and beyond for all her patients and really takes the time to get to know them and find a plan that will work for them and their unique situation. She is one of the smartest people I’ve ever met, is impeccably organized, and is completely dedicated to her patients.
