Dropped in to grab my favorite lube and maybe some lingerie when one of the bearded sales associates approached me very professionally to help me with the lube. After making his recommendation he walked off and let me be when I made it clear I didn’t need or want help.
I was looking through the flavored lubes, when Brodie from Mall Rats decided I didn’t know what I was looking for and backed up his coworkers recommendation, totally unsolicited by me. He was speaking loudly from behind the counter while my back was turned to him so he was projecting his voice through the whole store, which was kind of embarrassing since I was the only girl in the store with a few other dudes browsing. I explained that due to personal reasons I would be going with the brand I chose. To which Brodie asked, «Allergic reaction…» And I replied, «I don’t want to go into it.» After a little back and forth I got super pissed off because I had zero desire to reveal the gory details or justify my purchase to a total stranger in a sex shop. I walked to the lingerie to chill out so I wouldn’t lose my temper.
When I came back to check out Brodie decides to apologize for upsetting me, while defending his original stance that the lube I picked wasn’t as good as the one they recommended. I told him that I am admittedly sensitive about what I choose as I have had issues in the past, but I never asked for their recommendation, advice or input and it was unwelcome. I just wanted to buy sexy stuff so I could go home and bone my husband.
I don’t care about your need to be right. When you can tell you are pissing someone off just SHUT UP and take their money. Apologize and end the interaction.
They have a great selection of toys, lubes, videos, accessories and rave/​stripper clothes but I’ll definitely skip this location again.

This is the cleanest adult shop ive ever been to, nothing sleazy or creepy whatsoever. I seriously shop for clothes at both the NW and NE locations because their clearance racks are always full of good stuff. They are open ²⁴⁄₇ so its something
late night… and i love them for bringing a mood rocking bed to Portland-​i want one so bad. I just realized they are a unknown hot spot for the coolest and best quality costumes ive ever found, i got a black mermaid with awesome tail, old time plague masks, skull print bandAna dust masks, sexy nun etc… and they were 50%off. I was looking at the costume binder of their Halloween stock that’s coming in and every costume is badass and the best quality u can get… this local business has kept it all about their community so check it out

What the heck are the folks below complaining about? You bought a vibrator, took it out of the store, and were surprised when they woudln’t take it back. I thank god they obey what I can only assume is the law, and certainly the protocol for sex stores! They let and encourage you to open the package in the store — so you can test it. They will put batteries in the toy — so you can test it…
The people (women from what I’ve seen) who work here are always super — friendly, helpful, and hip. They may follow you over and see if you need help with contraptions — but will leave you alone afterwards. As far as I can see, the place is clean and organized. One time I was choosing between two bullit/​egg vibrators and wasn’t sure which one to get. They opened them both and explained that the best way to test strength is to hold them up to your nose/​face and compare… BRILLIANT!
Yes, there’s tacky lingerie. I don’t know why they don’t sell nicer stuff — maybe it’s hidden in there. But there are trying to cater to a number of different and different types of clientele and some of them are probably in the biz. I have been in here at least a half dozen times, the last time I saw more men than I ever had before — looking for videos, whatever. If there’s other shit that goes on in the back — ickier/​seedier stuff — I don’t know about it and it doesn’t get rubbed in my face (pardon the expression) so I can happily ignore it while I go about my shopping.
Prices are reasonable, I dont tend to buy batteries, lube or anything else here since I can those cheaper elsewhere. All the toys are in one area on the left side of the store — so if there is a small sleaze factor (which I’ve never experienced), I don’t feel disturbed by it.
It’s not exactly women-​centric — but it’s better than plenty of other places, and it’s where i will continue to shop for sex toys (that and the internet, of cousre) until they open a ladies sex boutique in portland.

First time in this store. Majority of parking is on the street. Burnside is busy, so I hope you can parallel park well. The entrance is a little intimidating if you have never been in before.
The salespeople are kind and clean, they seem to be knowledgeable of most products. The setup of the store is a little different, the video arcades are up top a few steps. FYI: the bathroom is not up there, its actually behind the sales counter. There are a lot of people hanging out in the arcade area.
The products available in the store are underwear, tops, toys and videos. There is a clearance rack which did have a large selection of kinky underwear.

Was sold a broken vibrator, and when I called five minutes later to say one of the buttons was broken and ask if I could do a direct exchange, they were super unhelpful and flat out said no. I’ll be spending my money somewhere else with a larger selection and less douchebag staff. Also, after checking online, realized that what I bought at Fantasy FAO for $ 65 was listed at internet retailers for $ 30. So I would suggest going into Ye Crusty Sex Shoppe, testing out their toys, and buying online– which is what I will be doing in the future.

$ 2.95 for a pack of Zig Zags, are you people nuts or just greedy! I can buy the same papers at the local beer store for $ 1.50. The only fantasy here is the prices you charge people who need to role some medicine. I will not nor will my many friends cross this doorway again because its greed like this that give smoking a bad rap.

This is in response to Mystery Z’s review. I’ve known this location (Sandy) for at least 10 years and have seen a great change from a «dingy porn store» to a great retail store, with the friendliest staff it’s ever had. With the other two reviews being so good, it makes me wonder if your a competitor who’s threatened by Fantasy’s change for the better.

It’s a pathetic attempt at a dingy porn store trying to be upscale. They were fine when they focused on videos, magazines, and sex toys, but over the years the place really went downhill. They now sell lots of tacky lingerie and stripper shoes (although I never saw a single female on any of my visits). Horrible, pushy staff that watch you intently as there’s not much for them to do. The «arcade» in the back is a great place to catch STD’s. Thankfully internet porn will soon put hell holes like this out of business.
