FastMesh Internet

No idea why everyone here is complaining. Their customer support guys are INSANELY smart and helpful, plus respond quicker than I ever expected. Far away from your door/​the hallway slows your internet speed (which isn’t their fault technically) which isn’t the greatest but had zero problems and just bought a $ 5 usb range extender. You could always go with Comcast I suppose if you’re into that kind of punishment, but I’d rather sell my family to a band of gypsys than ever have to deal w Comcast and it nonstop bad service and shitty customer support

Plain and simple, FastMesh is an absolute joke. At first, when I moved into my last apartment, I was excited to find out that the complex was equipped with a wireless internet provider, through FastMesh, which was easy to set up, convenient, and I would be able to avoid Comcast’s 2-​year plan, by instead paying month-​to-​month. I was soon to find out that this was too good to be true. I decided to go with the «beta» plan, which was $ 35/​month for roughly 30mp/​s or so I thought. I set up my plan and then, almost immediately the headaches started creeping in. I wanted to connect my Xbox to my plan and after numerous phone calls, which were all redirected to voicemail, I realized that the customer service was absolutely HORRIBLE. I must’ve called 20 times and left roughly 10 voicemails and was unable to talk to a single person. After the failed phone call attempts, it was apparent that all of the customer service and technical support issues were conducted via email. I finally received help and was able to connect my Xbox with multiple hours of back and forth emailing. It was rather obvious that they rely heavily on email communication rather than phone calls. The most annoying aspect of the customer service is that after probably 40 calls to customer service, I was, NOT ONCE able to speak with an actual customer service or technical support representative. It should also be noted that the internet consistently lost connection. I would be doing something as simple as streaming Netflix and all of a sudden the connection would be lost. I highly recommend avoiding FastMesh at all costs. Waste of time, energy, and money.

FastMesh is a service I REALLY wanted to like from the beginning when I moved into my apartment building and learned about it. High speed wireless internet without a modem taking up physical space in my apartment… it sounds like such a great idea, right?
My initial impressions of FastMesh were great — I called a number, and my account was set-​up promptly. They assisted me with connecting my Roku device, and responded to my e-​mails when I had questions. It didn’t take me long, however, to notice a very predictable trend: during peak times (morning and late evenings), connection becomes spotty on ALL devices (I tested several) and it is very difficult to maintain a stable connection.
I upgraded to the enhanced high speed service for $ 10 more, thinking that it would help. I noticed an increase in speed outside of these peak hours, but during I still experienced internet speeds that would barely be an upgrade from dial-​up internet in 1996. I tried to resolve the issue of spotty connections with FastMesh support a number of times, and they (when they did respond) tried to make it seem like the issue was on my end. I think that the issue being apparent on all of my devices demonstrates the issue is, in fact, not on my end. I attempted to resolve the issue one last time with FastMesh support yesterday evening, and informed them that if the issue was not resolved this would be my last month with FastMesh.
After 24 hours and still having not received a response, I have signed up for internet with an alternative provider, and this officially concludes my patience for substandard internet and customer service through FastMesh. If you’re just about to move into a building with FastMesh internet, take the majority’s advice here and save yourself time by going with an alternative internet provider right from the start.

This is the worst company to try to work with, and I’m even including Comcast here, just straight up scum. Their internet only works ~30% of the time, and the company never gets back to us. They’ve responded to my roommate about twice, (out of maybe 10 – 15 complaints/​questions) and have never once responded to mine. Sure, it’s decently priced for high speed internet, but good luck ever being able to load a single webpage.
I call or email a complaint, they do nothing. I send them speed tests, they never respond. The minute I can get to a CLEAR store I’m going to cancel my service and never look back.

Internet is so slow. They advertised 5 Mpbs per device for $ 25 a month and barely received 1 Mbps. I tried to contact customer service multiple times and received no responses or solutions. Demanded compensation, but instead wasted my hard earned money for their terrible services. Feel like I’ve been practically stolen from.

The worst internet provider I have ever had. Internet connection frequently drops every 5 minutes or so. This is across multiple devices (laptop, tablet, and phone) so it’s not the device’s fault. We live in an apartment building which I believe they force you to share your connection with other apartments. What this means is during peak times (mornings and evenings) your connection will drop every 1 – 2 min. We even paid for the upgraded service hoping that it would make a difference. I regret spending money on the upgrade and wish I would have saved the money to spend at Starbucks instead since I have to go there any time I need a reliable connection. I have both tried calling and emailing the company and it has been 2 days with no response. Do yourself a favor and get anything but FastMesh!

As long as the Internet was connected, it was actually pretty fast. But when you’re in the middle of streaming Netflix and the connection drops, that gets annoying. After the fifth time having to re enter my username and password to get logged into their service again on the same episode of my show, I called one of their competing internet companies and had service set up immediately. Don’t even get me started on how frustrating it was to log into their services after every time I locked my phone! Hopefully fastmesh can get their issues worked out soon because I don’t like using the big cable companies for my ISP any more than the rest of us.

I have had such a great experience with FastMesh so far. Their service is fast, affordable, and so incredibly easy to use. I just recently purchased a Roku to stream on my TV and needed help from them to get it set up. Their customer service was very responsive and took the time to call me (even though it was a holiday weekend and their offices were technically closed) and walk me through the process step by step. I couldn’t believe how helpful they were. I highly recommend their service to anyone and everyone!

These people are angels on earth. My tv wasn’t connecting to the Internet, so I texted the help line (at 10PM mind you) and received a swift response. For the next 26 hours Sam, my savior texted me and my friend to try and solve the problem. We tried everything under the sun and finally we fixed the issue. But sam went above and beyond all my expectations by simulating the problem on a the same model of TV that he had laying around the lab. I went through the trenches with the Fastmesh network today, And they were homies for sure. Thanks Sam!

These guys are BAR NONE the best tech support of any service company I have ever dealt with. My Xbox is tricky and requires a lot of work on there end. They always respond within minutes and get the job done. Weather its 1pm or 4 in the morning they are there. They are so compassionate that sometimes if your service bill is due and you need a few days they will make sure you have service. No goddamn late fees or nothing. They are HUMAN!!! And they treat you like one which is something so lacking these days. If you are lucky enough to be able to get this in your building then HOLY JEASUS PRAISE THE LORD… REJOICE!!! Love these guys seriously. And I have been with them for over 2 years.
