History

Established in 1934.

In March 2013, the law firm of Fitzwater Meyer became Fitzwater Meyer Hollis & Marmion, LLP, adding Melanie Marmion and Theressa Hollis as equity partners and continuing an 83 year tradition of service to estate planning and elder law clients that started with Wes Fitzwater’s grandfather, Clarence. FMHM delivers a law office large enough to promptly and efficiently meet each client’s needs, while maintaining the personal, friendly qualities of a smaller office. Our eleven attorneys serve a variety of elder law and estate planning needs in the greater Portland metro area and across the state of Oregon.

Wes Fitzwater is a partner in the law firm of Fitzwater Meyer, LLP, one of Oregon’s oldest and largest elder law and estate planning firms, emphasizing on estate and tax planning, protective proceedings, probate, elder law, and long-​term care planning. Wes is a frequent speaker to attorneys, financial professionals, and senior groups. In fact Wes has received two of the highest awards from the Oregon State Bar for his public services and work on behalf of OSB members with over one hundred different presentations to Oregon attorneys on estate planning and elder law topics. Wes has proudly served as Chair of both the Elder Law Section and the Estate Planning Section of the Oregon State Bar.
