Established in 2015.

Fortress of Inca is proud to open our first retail location in the great city of Portland, Oregon. For the last 4 years we have sold our shoes to independent stores around the USA and the world. In March of 2015 we opened our flagship location on East Burnside.

In addition to the knowledgeable and welcoming staff/​owners and amazing shoes (fair trade, top quality) they carry beautiful accessories. The soft, supple leather wallet I purchased has no rival. They carry beautiful jewelry, belts, bags etc. This shop is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and I look forward to future art openings and workshops that appear to be in the works. Go there. Support them. Support fair trade and responsibly sourced fashion.

Amazing shoe store! Hand made ethical shoes. Not only a concept I can stand behind, but super fashionable as well. Walked out of the store on cloud 9! Literally feels like I’m walking on a cloud, the shoes are so comfy! The staff was very knowledgable and so accommodating as well. Love this place!

Really great shoe store. All of the shoes, boots and accessories are handmade in Peru by fairly paid artisans and workers. The leather that they use is really supple and soft and the prices are also ethical. A really refreshing new retail experience for Portland on a street where there are no other shoe stores.
