Gateway Dental Clinic

We are so lucky to have a wonderful dentist we can trust. We’ve been seeing Dr Sedivy for about 10 years. He and his staff run an excellent clinic with a great atmosphere. The receptionist Kami is always pleasant and organized. There are screens on the wall and on the ceiling that typically show nature documentaries but can also be used to show you exactly what the dentist is seeing with your teeth.
I saw Dr Sedivy Friday because I was sure I had a cavity. Any money-​hungry dentist could have told me yes its a cavity and billed me for unnecessary work. But not Dr Sedivy. He simply filled a spot in with glue and that fixed it. (Although first he joked that I would definitely need a root canal — careful with this one, he’s got a sense of humor!)
Bonus points for the basket of flavored chapstick they always keep on the counter.

Dr. Sedivy has been my dentist for over 10 years. From the time I arrive till the time I leave the office, I am treated with dignity and respect. All of the staff are very kind!
I am confident with every thing that is done to my mouth. Dr. Sedivy shows me the video of my mouth and what needs to be done. I trust him.
Kami is the front desk girl whom I speak to on the phone and when I arrive to the office. She deals with the insurance and does a great job explaining to me my coverage/​benefits. I have never been let down at Gateway Dental! I would recommend them to anyone!!!

For someone who is scared of going to any dentist, I have to say that my experience at Gateway was as pleasant as a dentist appointment can be! Kami, the receptionist, is wonderful and on top of everything! Dr. Sedivey is also very patient and understanding. I definitely recommend them!

Dr. Sedivy is as good as it gets. I couldn’t even feel the needle when he had to anesthetize me. His work and «bedside manner» are excellent, and he’s comparatively inexpensive. I have a bit of a dental phobia, but Dr. Sedivy makes me feel quite at ease.

This place. Where do I start? Cami, the receptionist is amazing and so kind and the doc made me feel SO comfortable and relaxed. I am so thankful for my services received at this office! Being someone who suffers from extreme dental office phobia I am so happy to have found them and would absolutely recommend them to anyone hoping to have a great dental experience!!!

I can not say enough about this wonderful, caring and compassionate dentist. I originally went to Dr Sedivy because of his reasonable prices and location but I now drive from Tualatin to NE Portland because of his demeanor, humor and warm office staff. Beautiful office, exceptionally clean. Dr Sedivy never tries to sell me on anything more than what is absolutely necessary. All of the work I have had him do over the past eight years is perfect! Crowns, fillings and one extraction– but if he can save a tooth, he certainly does. During any procedure, he asks every so often if I am comfortable and wants the experience to be as pain free as possible. He even cleans my teeth himself! Kami at the front desk will make you feel like you are welcome and part of the ‘family.’ FABULOUS DENTIST! Thank you Dr Sedivy and staff.

Went here for 3 extractions in one visit back in ’10-’11 sometime before I had braces, laughing gassed me up and the procedure was entirely painless…
Fast forward to earlier today when my dad went in for his first cleaning/​extraction in about 15 – 20 years… They REMEMBERED our last name, asked about me personally (I wasn’t at the office, just texting my dad) and they asked about how my teeth came in and turned out after 3 years of braces. Extracted his teeth and gave him such a thorough cleaning… This is the whitest I’ve ever seen my dads teeth in my whole 20 years of life.

Dr. Sedivy is awesome. Have you ever had the DENTIST clean your teeth??? Me neither, until discovering Gateway Dental after continuing to drive to my Kirkland, Washington dentist for 5 years after moving to Portland.
Not having dental insurance, I was concerned about cost. After calling around, Gateway Dental had the best prices on basic cleaning and exam, and didn’t want to «up-​sell» me. But this is no cut-​rate practice… everybody is totally professional, yet very warm and friendly. And there has never been more than a 5 minute wait to be seen.
Just recently my partner’s dental implant broke off. Dr. Sedivy managed to save and re-​install it, all for what I feel was a very small cost.
We couldn’t be more satisfied… thanks for the great job you do!

Let me start by saying I will NEVER go to any other dentist!!! The ONLY dentist from here on out that my family and I will go to is DR. SEDIVY!!! He is SO amazing! And to top it off the office staff and Kami are out of this world! They are so caring and thoughtful. You feel like family when you are there. I have always had a phobia of dental offices and do not any longer due to this dental office. They make you feel so welcome and comfortable in any way they can. They take a lot of pride in what they do and it is very obvious. I had my one set of my wisdom teeth pulled here 11 years ago and came back to have a huge oral surgery on my wisdom teeth and it was a cake walk BECAUSE of them! I recommend him to EVERYONE I know. Also the technology there is like none other. I absolutely LOVE this place, Dr. Sedivy, Kami, and the staff. Thank you for being SO amazing during a traumatic time. Dr. Sedivy also had wonderful bedside manners. BEST DENTIST AND DENTAL office ever! I hope everybody gets to experience the experience I have had with them! Words can’t justify them! Go and see for yourself!

Everyone at Gateway Dental Clinic is fantastic! All of my interactions have been nothing but steller; from my initial phone call, to my dental radiographs, to the scaling. I have no complaints whatsoever. Dr. Sedivy and his staff are amazing and very kind and gentle. I would recommend this dental office in a heartbeart!

My mother and I have both been to Dr. Sedivy and it’s been a great experience both times. His staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and really helped to put us both at ease. No one likes going to the dentist, but if you must, please consider Gateway Dental– A dentist that makes you laugh, with a great smile and an accent? Yes, please! Plus, he sent his wife to our bakery to order cupcakes for their kid’s birthday, and I’m pretty sure I gave him a card way back in the summer! What a great dentist and a great clinic. I would go back for any dental work I needed.

Let me start by saying that I am dentist-​phobic. I would rather take a beating than get my teeth cleaned. So that I like this place says a lot.
Dr Sedivy is a great dentist with a good staff. He has a light touch and makes me feel comfortable and not stressed.
They are always friendly and maybe I have just been lucky but there has never been an extended wait for my appointment. The receptionist has helped me fully utlize my health insurance on more than one occasion.
To me the most important thing is what they are not– which is snobby. If you are like me and have not had insurance for a long time, going to the dentist can be hard enough with a lot of painful dental work to be done, but some dental offices can be so snitty about it. There is none of that attitude at This clinic. Just good service, short wait and friendly people.
