Gonzales Taqueria adds substantially to the Mexican scene in North Portland. It is a large cart with a small menu, and a bit of table seating. They have tacos, burritos and tortas, along with sodas. Their location is near the Killingsworth MAX stop and a gas station.
I walked up having never heard of this taqueria before. Being a bit short on cash, I ordered two pork tacos. The tacos came after six minutes, okay but a bit slow for tacos. The meat was crisp and tender, though the onions along with the tortilla could have had a bit more synchronization. It was a place in which I may come back.

Pretty good food, yummy Carne asada. $ 2 tamales, good size. We ordered to go. Everything was good, however we weren’t given any utensils. Good thing we took it home to eat with our own silverware.
