Pretty nice Goodwill, always clean and organized which I appreciate. Occasionally short staffed, which means waiting for fitting rooms or waiting for someone to write up a furniture ticket, but the staff here is generally very friendly. Lots of bargains to be found and I especially love that they receive large lots of Target’s stale stock so there are usually lots of brand new Target treasured to be had.

This is my second favorite thrift store(first favorite being the Sal’s across the street). I look mostly for old Tupperware, and you have to really dig but I have found quite a few great pieces here. It’s cheaper than the Sal’s too so that’s a plus! The only thing I don’t really like about it is the very narrow aisles. If you have a cart you will often times get stuck behind someone who is standing still in the aisle looking at things. Turning the cart around is near impossible so you just have to wait.

This goodwill is very hasty. They started pushing you out of the store a hour before close… by reminding you every 10 min on the dot til 9pm. High priced too. but they all are now«!

I’ve called many thrift stores today, looking for that certain Tupperware or Pyrex container, sure they’re everywhere until you need one that was discontinued, the size of a laptop, and they’re as thick as an old Swanson TV trays! But this store, I just have to stop and write a good review on them! Their Customer Service, took time from their busy chores, to try to find the item, and they’re very pleasant on the phone. Not once, but I had them do another stock check for another item, that I’ve forgotten to ask in another thrift shops. She was smiling and understanding my needs, and I like that! Even the gal who transferred me, had a pleasant tone on her voice!

Really disappointed in this store. In Goodwill in general I should say, but this is the most recent store I visited. The store was a little disheveled, which isn’t really anything new, what was surprising was that I couldn’t find a t-shirt for less than 3.99. I looked at every single one, not even joking. $ 3.99 for a crappy used(not even ‘like new’ condition, most of the decent t-shirts were $ 5 and up) t-shirt?!? Are you kidding me? I of course looked at things besides t-shirts. In general I couldn’t find much of anything for less than 4.99, which is ridiculous. I’m not shopping at a second hand vintage shop. This is GOODWILL. I saw cheaper clothes brand new on sale at regular department stores, why would I ever buy second hand if I can find it cheaper someplace else brand new? Looks like I’ll be hitting up Value Village and RW&B from now on. Hopefully they don’t raise their prices too to keep up with the ‘competition’. (I put moderate as a price. I know in the grand scheme of things they are not expensive, but when we’re talking thrift store prices they are not the cheapest or even close to the cheapest. I wish The Dig hadn’t closed.)

Went to the Goodwill, on 82nd in Milwaukie, today looking for a VGA cable for my pc. Found three and took the one I wanted up to the checkout stand. It had two labels which were torn… one green for $ 3.99, and one blue for $ 2.99, and both were in shreds. I mentioned it had two tags, and she said«well let me find a barcode that’ll work(not wanting to make sense of the situation). She rung up the $ 3.99 price. I told that the other two VGA cables on the shelf both had blue $ 2.99 tags on them. She wasn’t about ready to give me the lower price or ask the Manager for assistance. She proceeded to press the question, «so do you want this or not?» I stood there in utter disbelief and then said I’d go get the other cables. I brought them back and showed her they were the same, and even that one shouldn’t be for sale because one cable had a connector with a broken pin. The other one was fine, but both had he blue tags. I know I’m a little overly particular(lol, yeah, kinda OCD), but the cable I wanted to buy had a smooth rubber finish, versus a ribbed rubber finish. She still couldn’t see my logic as to the reason she should only charge me the $ 2.99 price. I ended up walking out saying I’d just buy one from Walmart. I just moved here from Salem, and have been spoiled by well-ran stores, and courteous Goodwill employees who can think for themselves(or get their Manager when needed). There’s also more quality items at the Salem stores, and a much better selection. I’m just not all that impressed with the Portland area big city impersonal, and shotty, service. Hope the other Goodwills around the Portland area are better than this one. Hehe.

They are starting to charge way too much. I can buy new things from the store on sale for what they are charging at Goodwill!

This store was a hit or miss store. It seemed almost like it was a better place to drop off things, rather than buy them. It was clean(for the most part) but I literally left empty handed, which was a pretty big deal considering my uncanny ability to find SOMETHING at any store I go to.
