Green Earth House Cleaning

I have had a 3-​year relationship with Green Earth House Cleaning service. I am moving out of town, but wanted to thank Green Earth for their outstanding service. They cleaned my house every other Monday since 2011. When you work with a service that long, you expect some glitches, no shows, or even some rough cleanings. This never happened with Green Earth. They were always reliable and responsive to include when I needed to cancel or re-​schedule. Theft or dishonesty was absolutely not an issue and I had multiple different cleaners over the years. As advertised, they are interested in green products which was a great bonus for a great local business. Strangely enough, they never raised their prices with me after 3 years, which they probably could have. I take this a testament to being a friendly business interested in keeping customers happy. I wish Green Earth healthy and prosperous business for many years. –M

I am writing this review simply to counteract the review from Erin J. who gave them one star because an ad company was putting their info on her door even though she has a NO SOLICITING sign. She has no right to give a company a bad review for something so ridiculous. Shame on you Erin J. This is a local and family owned company not some huge corporation who can take a hit and not feel it.

We hired them to thoroughly clean our house to prepare to sell it. They did an excellent job, were very professional, and gave us a good rate. I highly recommend them.

Prior to my last interaction with the owner of this company, I would have given their cleaning services 2.5 stars. The cleaning really varied, but was rarely to our satisfaction. They seemed to have a lot of difficulty getting the kitchen clean and we would often find a film on the counters, the sink left with dirt and product residue. The floors usually had bits of dirt and dust in the corners and under the furniture. We would actually have to move pieces (like ottomans, baskets, plant stands, etc) if we wanted them cleaned underneath or around.
We often voiced our complaint to the owner and sometimes just reminded the person doing the cleaning. The woman we have cleaning for us now even pointed out many ways she felt the cleaning was inadequate (unsolicited mind you, she just takes her job very seriously and is proud of the work she does. She also does a fabulous job cleaning! Contact me if you’d like a referral for her services. She’s been in business over 25 years).
I’m copying and pasting an email exchange with the owner, Antranik. You should know what type of ego you will be dealing with if you hire them. I’m surprised they have any customers as they clearly are more concerned with being right than providing any type of decent, concerned customer service. Also, I find it interesting that in another poor review on Unilocal,Antranik also puts the entire onus on the customer… in the email below he states it is «out of his hands.» In the review he states… «We are always open to feedback but this review feels more like a disgruntled person who is unwilling to take practical steps to solve a problem.» Clearly nothing is ever his responsibility.

Thanks for the tip and I agree with the statement you offered.
However, the email I sent was not for our reassurance.
Every so often when a client wants to discontinue service, we feel it’s best to part with some friendly and constructive sentiments.
But perhaps I should have addressed the issues more specifically.
The morning of your last service our cleaners arrived at 9am to start service but found that they were not able to enter. This happens from time to time, everybody forgets occasionally.
When I received a call back from you it was 9:21am, the records are on my phone, and the message you left said you would be home in 5 minutes.
Unfortunately that equals just short of an hour, 30 minutes per cleaner, of reduced time for your regular cleaning of 3 hrs.
I spoke to our staff and instructed them to get as much done as they could in the 2 hours left.
As much as I would have liked them to stay for the full 3 hours, I could not postpone our clients who were to receive service later in the day.
When you called later in the morning to express your displeasure regarding the cleaning, you mentioned a number of things that were not done.
While I certainly understand wanting a clean house after 2 weeks, (as a cleaning business, we understand this better than most) I was surprised there was such a disconnect from your perspective about what was not done and the reduced time the our staff had to clean. You mentioned that they should have skipped things that you would not notice but in 1 hour our staff get a lot done so that would be hard to do.
Finally you expressed that it sounded like I was saying it was your fault. Of course the door not being left open was the source of the issue but finding a solution to the problem is always our goal, rather than laying blame. So I offered to have a staff member come in and finish what was not done on Tuesday, free of charge, because we value our clients and genuinely want to take the cleaning headache off their plates.
But then I received an email from you discontinuing services. So somewhere along the line the relationship did not work for you anymore. I’m not clear as to what it was.
But my point in the previous email was to illustrate that I believe we did try to operate as a responsive, responsible cleaning service that values it’s customers.
And again while you are right that it’s the client’s perception that matters, sometimes it’s out of our hands.

I’m not sure the point of this email, except maybe to reassure yourselves. But, if there is one thing I’ve taken away from many years in customer service, it is that ultimately it doesn’t matter the perception you have of the service you’ve provided, only the customers perception.

We no longer need your services.

This company does a good job. They clean our business and make it shine. We had been using another service, but weren’t happy with them. Green Earth came and and we really noticed the difference.
