Description

Specialties

We design exceptional landscapes and gardens for the Northwest lifestyle.

Our services include:

* «Fresh Ideas» consultations for «do-it-yourself» gardeners.

* Renovating outdated landscapes

* Designing Master Plans for new and existing homes

* Contractor Referrals & Installation Coordination

We partner with carefully selected landscape contractors to offer a complete design/build experience. We will happily refer you to the right contractors for your project and even coordinate the estimate and installation process.

We take time to get to know you, your family, and your property in order to transform your ideas into a beautiful, functional landscape that fulfills your dreams.

We design within your budget: This means making thoughtful design, plant and materials choices, carefully selecting and working with the right landscape contractor for the job, and helping you prioritize if your landscape needs to be installed in phases.

History

Established in 2003.

Hi, I’m Lisa Meddin, the owner and creative force behind Harmony Design Northwest.

In 2003 I launched the company and have been designing ever since. My specialties include sustainable landscape design, unique plant combinations, and creative design solutions for challenging spaces.

I began the company as Harmony Design in Williamsburg, VA where I worked as the Water Conservation and Watershed Protection Program Coordinator for James City County. Recognizing a need for sustainable landscape design in this fast growing, upscale community, I attended and graduated from the University of Richmond’s Professional Landscape Design Program and parlayed water conservation, watershed protection and other sustainable practices into my landscape design business. In 2008 I moved to Portland in 2008 and reopened as Harmony Design Northwest.

Business Owner

I designed my first garden at seven years old. OK, so it was just a little terrarium, but fast forward to 2013 and I’m still designing.
