History

Established in 2015.

Though the district has long been known as a center for activity and entertainment, historically it has had few residents. Now, more than 60 years later, the Lloyd District is returning to Ralph Lloyd’s original vision. Hassalo on Eighth is a part of mending the urban fabric of the neighborhood to create a mixed use, sustainable neighborhood. Easily navigated by car, public transportation, bike and walking, Hassalo on Eighth will exemplify the vision of the «new urbanism» that draws on the traditions of the past.

Hassalo on Eighth will offer a variety of housing options and retail spaces that can cater to a wide range of people and businesses. It will consist of 657 apartments and 50,000 square feet of retail surrounding a new public plaza.
