Delicious Tibetan momos! I got the sample plate which included chicken, beef, and vegetarian. I’m now addicted.

The people that run this cart are so cute and nice. Yay for great customer service. They’ve always been pretty nice every time I’ve gone and give you a smile! Last time I went I had the noodle soup and it was okay. I think they used regular pasta noodles? I’m not sure. but that’s what they tasted and looked like to me. Maybe that’s how Himalayan food is though? It was good soup, probably really good for a hang over because it was salttty! and not too crazy of a broth. Their fried noodles are like a less oily chow mein with pasta like noodles. Not many veggies or meat in it, but lot’s of noodles. All very fairly priced!

Food is ok. I have had better dumplings and noddles at some other carts. Food is too greasy.

This place is yummmmmmmmy! I was taken here by a Nepali friend who assured me the momos were authentic and delicious, and I was NOT disappointed. Tasted just like they did in Nepal… I suggest the combo, that way you get to try chicken/pork/beef/veggie. Definitely more food than I can ingest in a sitting, and for a very reasonable price. Haven’t tried the other food yet but definitely plan on coming back and trying more! Note: Momos(dumplings) take about 15 minutes for them to prepare, so if you’re in a hurry you can call in your order. Also– agree with the other poster that the sweet and sour sauce is the way to go!

I had the chicken chowmein. It was really good and the portion size was big enough for 2 full meals. If you are from india, this dish Will remind you of the noodles you would get from roadside stands in India.

Chicken Chowmein in Portland. Yes please! Great little cart owned by a friendly man from Tibet. Serves up some interesting rustic Nepalese/Himalayan fare. I’ve always craved for some authentic Chicken Chowmien cooked Nepalese style, and this was bang on the spot. Will stop by again to try the momos, they looked very appetizing.

Just went here today. Not only is the food delicious but the portions are large. It always makes me sad when I find a place with really good food but small portions and that is not an issue here. The food takes awhile to be prepared but I think it is worth the wait. The woman working there was a bit unfriendly but not terrible.

When I think of Nepali food the first that comes to mind is momo’s, which are dumplings that we get as street food in India which is supposed to have originated from Nepal. So, on my second visit to this food cart block I was able to find this place open and get my hands on some momo’s. We tried the vegetarian and chicken momo’s. They were both good and I liked the spicy and sweet and sour sauce that we got with it also. IMHO the sweet and sour sauce paired better with the momo’s than the spicy one. I have had momo’s made by a Nepali friend in town and I think they have done a good job at the food cart in capturing the flavor of them.

My roommate and I eat the pork dumplings at this cart all the time. While there is lots of tasty food in the food cart pod, there is always a sign of disappointment if this cart isn’t open.

Most excellent vegetable dumplings. I will dream about these for days. Great dipping sauces to accompany and the dumplings are spiced perfectly. Hand crafted with love.

Despite having added this business to Unilocal and posting the original pics of the cart and dumplings, I neglected to post a review. This was probably because I was too busy enjoying their delightful food. Must have: mixed dumplings($ 6.95). You get some beef dumplings, pork dumplings, and veggie dumplings(potato, onion, etc…) and all are absolutely superb. They are each about the size of a small to medium lemon. I’m leaning towards the pork being my favorite at the moment but what really stands out is the dipping sauce. They provide both a mild and a spicy sauce and each have unique and delicious flavors. The people who run this establishment are awesome and super nice. Patronize this cart, please. You won’t be disappointed.

Life just got better. Momos! They sell momos! Holy moly! Their vegetarian momos are amazing. I’m sure meat eaters will really appreciate their other momos. Oh dear. I can’t believe how lucky I am.

I was so happy to come across a place that has such delicious, inexpensive curry right in my neighborhood. I have eaten here about six times in the last two months and it is always fresh, excellent and wonderful. The portions are really generous and the owners are always really sweet. I find myself wanting to steer people to this particular cart because I think it’s the best one on the lot!

A little surprising to see Himalayan Food sitting so neglected, thus far unreviewed in the Unilocalisphere. This little cart, not open a month yet, in a certain, deep SE Division food cart pod near you. You probably couldn’t fill a thimble with all that I know about Himalayan food and culture. I would have guessed, owing entirely to geography, that there might be discernible influences from China and India evident on their menu. Hmmm, must be coincidental that those are the number one and two current ranking most populous nations, effectively sandwiching the Himalayas between them. What do you know, Chow mein is on the menu! Chicken, Beef, Portk or veggie options. Stir fried rice, also on the menue, also w/each of the aforementioned choices. Lentil soup? Score! and perhaps most personally significantly, LAMBCURRRRRRRY an all-time personal favorite, though apparently my personal preference for zestiness is not all that much in keeping w/food as is way up @ 30,000 feet… The couple running this cart is absolutely wonderful: He an ex-pat from Japan, she a Nepalese. They deserve a chance at your business, check ‘em out!
