Leek Leiberan specializes in appeals in all areas of the law other than criminal law including all types civil cases, family law, disputes between family members or neighbors, corporate law, elder law, probate, administrative law, and animal law. Ms. Leiberan handles appeals from all over the state since all appeals are heard in Salem.

Established in 2007.
Deanna Ballou Jensen & Margaret H. Leek Leiberan founded this law firm to enable them and their associates to practice law with a high level of both skill and ethics. Both Ms. Jensen and Ms. Leiberan are very experienced attorneys who have gone up against the most powerful attorneys in the state. They believe in mediation when appropriate. However, all of the attorneys in this firm are very experienced in both simple and very complex trials. Ms. Leiberan has been specializing in appeals for over 30 years and is well known and respected by the judges on the appeals courts. She prides herself on writing briefs that both clearly tell the client’s story and make powerful legal arguments. She is also very skilled at legal research.

Margaret H. Leek Leiberan graduated from Harvard Law School and then returned to her native Oregon to practice law. For over 30 years she has specialized in appeals and has handled cases from virtually every county in the state. She has handled appeals in virtually every area of the law except criminal. As examples her cases have included torts, auto accidents. family law (divorce, custody, property division, spousal support (alimony), issues arising from dissolution of registered and unregistered domestic partnerships, will contests, suits between family members and neighbors, animal rights cases, land use cases, administrative law cases, commercial landlord/tenant disputes and elder law cases. She is an excellent legal researcher and writer with extensive experience in reviewing even the most complex case and distilling it into a brief with a compelling argument.
