Went back to Joy Teriyaki to actually try some teriyaki this time. The first time I went, I was pleased to see curry chicken on the menu so I ordered that. Yeah, the curry chicken was really good, but I always planned to come back to try some of their«signature» stuff. So, this time, I had teriyaki chicken with all breast meat. The chicken was tender, flavorful and nicely charred with grill marks. The teriyaki sauce had a thick enough consistency to stick to the food. I like that.(I don’t like thin watery teriyaki sauce like some other places have.) The accompanying salad was fresh and crispy too. It was all excellent.. .I’m giving them another star this time.

Not hard to please, but the manager(?) showed up right before close and started yelling at her young workers in front of customers. I ordered right before my friend, I got chicken teriyaki and he got port teriyaki, mine came out in 10 minutes and his came out 20 minutes later. Much prefer Happy Teriyaki right to the south, much fast, cleaner, and better.

First off, excellent service! Sometimes the employees are in the back helping the cooks and handing out the food to other customers, so don’t feel negative in any way if they’re not at the front counter/cash register waiting for customers to come in. I came down to Oregon to visit a few family members, and we heard that Joy Teriyaki was a good teriyaki joint to come to. We were driving by and saw the«Joy Teriyaki» sign and decided to stop on by. The food is so good! Excellent left overs as well. I ordered the beef teriyaki bowl and substituted my rice for noodles, and it was a good portion of food! Definitely filled my stomach up for lunch. Pretty wide range of teriyaki selections all for reasonable prices, especially in comparison to other teriyaki restaurants.

Excellent! Huge portions of teriyaki chicken and vegetables in a nice quick service restaurant setting. Better then your typical teriyaki joints both in food and setting.

I had the spicy teriyaki bowl, for $ 4.99, and received a generous portion of both chicken and rice. The sauce was tasty and my kids had the potstickers and loved them. We will definitely be back.

You get a perfectly nice portion of teriaki chicken/beef/pork/tofu for 6 – 8 bucks. The food is tasty comfort food, not world-stopping(what do you expect for eight bucks) but enjoyable. The owners of the restaurant are very friendly, and if you feel like lingering and reading they don’t mind. There’s no bike rack, but if you ask they’ll let you bring your bike in with you. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, but if you’re in the area anyway and want a quick meal, this is a much better option than the McDonalds and Arbys at the same intersection.

My wife and I have been to this location 3 times. The first time good food, but the floor was not mopped or swept. The second time same thing. We arrived there at 11am the third time to find know one there yet. Waited 5 more minutes and left. I hope this place gets there act together because the food is pretty good.

Joy Teriyaki, a local chain took place of the national chain, Taco Time. It’s a slight improvement but only just. First, the pricing is higher than your average players of teriyaki(tableside service or otherwise. If you order any rice bowl, expect just your meat of choice on rice– nothing else. If you want a plate with some veggies or a salad, expect to shell out about $ 8. I had the former, I should have paid the extra $ 2 for something green. The sauce itself isn’t bad but isn’t mind blowing either. I would say that you get what you pay for, but I can think of any number of food carts who get you more/better food for less. It’s strange that they don’t put water cups or silverware out near the soda fountain, you gotta grab those from a random table(they set some, not others), or ask someone at the counter. Just am odd vibe, but it’s new so maybe they’ll find their groove.
