History

Established in 2004.

Since earning my Esthetics Certificate in 1999, I’ve logged hundreds of hours with IDI, studied Skin Care Ingredients for Cosmetic Professionals at UCLA in 2009, became a Certified Dermalogica Expert in 2011, an Integrative Health Coach in 2014 and have recently studied under Dr Junger, founder of the Clean Program.

Now I’m working with other exceptional skin therapists and have started an apprenticeship program.

My own long battle with acne provoked my fascination with skin product ingredients. I began getting treatments and tried many different skin care systems, looking for the right fit. Soon my formal education followed: I needed to know about skin. Since then my passion and drive to learn more and educate others has been unrelenting. While I have a strong clientele of regulars who value the attention they get from me, my special focus is treating acne and rosacea, with an ever present awareness of minimizing the aging process.

I work exclusively with Dermalogica. This is the product that changed my skin and continues to keep it healthy. If you haven’t tried Dermalogica, or it’s been a while, I’d love to show you why it’s been my favorite skin care line for 17 years!

Julene is a skin goddess & guru. Her depth of knowledge is apparent in her approach to providing you with the most appropriate treatment for your skin type. She’s got a new space iin her building with an expanded team of specialists. The space is so inviting, comfortable and conducive to total relaxation. Visit her website so you can review her areas of expertise and see all of the treatments she offers. Then give her a call & she’ll work with you to select your treatment. I have had facials for 25 years and her treatments are the best I have ever received because of her skills and because of the type of person she is, which is caring & kind. A real pro AND an angel. I’ve had the micro current + oxygen treatment a few times and love it. She’s hands down the best!

It has been a good decade since I’ve treated myself to a facial and I’m so thrilled I re-​entered my focus on my skin care guided by a top level esthetician! Wow! My skin feels fantastic — moisturized, clean, glowing, soft, healthy. I chose the microcurrent and oxygen treatment. Julene is extremely knowledgeable about the science of skin care, has an amazing touch, and she’s a warm person who made this experience so relaxing and refreshing. I highly recommend her services!

I’m in a state of shock. I’ve literally had hundreds of facials over the last 25 years and I am now in possession of the softest, yummiest skin EVER! Full disclosure, I am an esthetician and I love to network and find inspiration from other estheticians. When I met Julene at a Dermalogica training about a month ago, I was so impressed by her knowledge and her personality that I just had to book an appointment. I received an oxygen treatment and microcurrent; the oxygen treatment was a first-​time experience. It was so refreshing and unique and I could feel the difference within seconds of the application. This facial made me feel like I had «gone to the mountain». I don’t ever want to come down! See Julene, as soon as possible!

I have phenomenally sensitive skin: over the years I’ve had a handful of facials from some of the ‘best” estheticians in town and have always regretted having gone. HOWEVER, Julene Renee/​SKIN is the fabulous exception. She’s extremely knowledgeable and gentle. In my previous experiences, the estheticians pushed product; if i even look at facial products my skin breaks out. Not Juliene–
She’s judicious in her approach, loads you up with samples to try, and listens.
My skin looks way better after she’s spent time with it– which is contrary to my previous experiences.

Julene is the ultimate skin guru! I don’t have problem skin per se, it is a little sensitive, a little dry, and I have very mild rosacea in my cheeks. While not particularly vain about these things; a summer of slathering on industrial strength sunscreen (I work outside) and being lax about my home regimen, my skin was looking a bit haggard.
I made my first appointment at the end of September and I have ceased to think of facials as a luxury. My skin looked amazing after the first visit.
I have been back three times, most recently after a little surgery, anesthesia and heavy antibiotics. My «normal, good skin» erupted into an angry mess and for maybe the forth time in my life, I was really self-​conscious about it. Julene came to my rescue! She evaluated my needs, gave me an awesome treatment and the next day (I kid you not!) my skin was calm, clear and I wasn’t hiding anymore.
If you are feeling the pinch like everyone else, skip the full hour which includes a little massage and book a 30 minute appointment. You won’t regret it and your skin will glow!
