Quick, affordable, and I love the chicken bento box. Great lunch spot. Plus the lady who works here is really friendly!

True: very big portions. True: very delicious. True: quick service. True: happy cook in the car, Kai is very friendly and is always smiling when she greets you. Only downfall, there is a very limited menu so vegetarians just get one choice… Don’t get me wrong, it’s delicious but you probably can’t have it every single day. FYI, currently they’re only open Monday thru Thursday, and it’s cash/check only.

I’m a grown man with a healthy appetite, and I’m full off of just half of what I was served. I guess I know what I’m having for dinner tonight. I got the daily special; yakisoba with BBQ pork and vegetables. There’s wasn’t a lot of pork but I don’t mind since I’m not a huge meat eater; I’ll probably stick to veggie dishes from now on. The meal itself was serviceable, and a good price for the portion($ 7 for basically two meals).

I’ve been driving by this lonely little cart in the South Waterfront/OHSU neighborhood for a while, and today felt like a good day to give it a shot. Holy cow. Now I’m asking myself, does bento mean«huge» in Japanese? I’m staring at a whopper pile of cabbage, rice, chicken, etc, wondering where to start. As food cart fare goes? Not bad. $ 6.95 for chicken bento, served with a smile. If you’re in the area and hungry, stop in and say hi to Kai. Just make sure your pants can accommodate the meal.
