Kirstie and her team made my wedding day special for all the ladies in the family – we all looked amazing. Now I call her first if I have an important event – professional hair and make-​up in one relaxing spot, with a great artist!

Kirstie did my wedding hair and makeup and I couldn’t have been happier. In daily life I tend to wear very little makeup so I was nervous about looking too «fake» on my wedding day. But as soon as I met Kirstie I knew instantly that she would do a great job. She took into account my natural coloring/​skin tone and what type of look/​theme we were going for in our wedding. She was also keenly aware of how things would look in pictures and made sure that everything would look great from afar and also for those close-​up shots. And my hair was heavenly: natural but styled, it felt very «me» while also being special and unique. I can’t say enough amazing things about her.
She was also just super fun, easygoing, and a blast to be around. I always thought I would be stressed beyond belief on my wedding day, but getting ready with Kirstie was a lot of fun. Don’t hesitate for hire her: you won’t regret it!

Hiring Kirstie was one of the smartest thing I could have done for my wedding. She drove all the way out to Timberline Lodge to do the hair and make up on myself and my maid of honor.
She was timely, professional, fun, relaxed, and she knows her stuff. Both my MOH and I wear very little make-​up if any at all. Kirstie did such a lovely job. She enhanced my MOH and I and allowed our natural beauty to shine though her expertly applied artistry.
Our make up and hair survived 45mph winds and an over 10 hour day.

Not only is she super talented at what she does (we all LOVED our hair and makeup, and it lasted for more than 12 hours), but she is so much fun to work with! Kirstie is so much fun to work with! She is such a sweetheart and so down-​to-​earth! I am a local portrait photographer in Portland, and she did the hair and makeup for one of my senior girls. Kirstie is incredible. She did my makeup for our wedding and I still cannot get over the magic she works. I looked in the mirror when she was done and almost fainted. I was like, «I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW GOOD I LOOK.»

Kirstie did an amazing job for my wedding day makeup and hair. Looking at her portfolio I thought she would have the exact sort of style I wanted– and I was right! My makeup was great for photographs and looked lovely but not overdone. She also did hair and makeup for my mother and new mother in law, and they looked and felt spectacular. I also had Kirstie do my hair and makeup before my engagement photos, as my pre-​wedding trial. So glad I did as it allowed me to see exactly how I might want it done the morning of my wedding.

Kirstie did my makeup for my wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. I don’t regularly wear much makeup and I had never had makeup professionally applied before, so I was worried that it would look overdone or that I wouldn’t look like me. I just wanted a simple natural look for my wedding, and Kirstie got it absolutely right! It was like Brooke-​plus!
She was fun to work with, very professional, and she was also really good at keeping me calm. She also emboldened me to start filling in my eyebrows a little, since they’re very light and a bit sparse naturally. What a difference that makes – turns out I’m not half-​bad looking with eyebrows!

Kirstie is a fabulous makeup artist! My sister was getting portraits done, and I wanted to help her get hair and makeup professionally done for the images. Unfortunately, I started looking for professionals the night before. While I found a number of salons or single make up artists who would do hair and makeup, and even booked one appointment online, none of them could do the makeup part without 24 hours notice. At 3:58pm, the day of the portrait session, my sister was in the middle of getting her hair cut and styled when I dialed up Kirstie. (Yes, I found her via Unilocal!) I was shocked and so thrilled when she agreed to meet us at her studio immediately after we were done at the salon.
Her studio was such an oasis during our hectic day. It was so comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Oh it was delightful to sit and chat with her and my sister while she was at work. (and she did not waste any time, which was quite welcome with our busy schedule!)
Both my sister and I rarely wear makeup. So, Kirstie easily could have given her a look that was overdone compared to what she looks like on a typical day. But she didn’t. She created a gorgeous look for her! It was more on the natural side and brought out her gorgeous eyes. I’ve had my makeup professionally done a few times myself, and never have I had a makeup artist be so warm and friendly.
I was excited to see on her website that she offers makeup instruction, and asked her about it. She even shared a couple of tips while she explained what that service entailed. I am pretty sure I will be back later this year to spend more time with her!
I would highly recommend Kirstie for getting your makeup right on that special day, for a photo session or just for having fun while learning how to do your own makeup!

I have had my makeup done in the past and let me tell you… I don’t have an easy face to put makeup on unless you really, really understand that eye shape, face shape, and so on are as important, if not more so than color choice. I have become very reluctant to have others do may makeup because a number of reputable professionals put makeup on a way that detracted from my best features and made me feel ugly when I had to show my face at important events.
For my 35^th birthday, a friend of 30 years and I decided to have our makeup done by Kirstie because we hadn’t seen each other in years and we never pamper ourselves. My friend never wears much makeup and was really nervous as this was the first time she had her makeup done. At the end — she couldn’t stop staring in the mirror and her husband was just about ready to have Kirstie come live at their house because his wife looked, «So smokin’ HOT!»
Kirstie gave my friend a smokey look for the night that just make her eyes smolder. Seriously!!! I was in awe of how good she looked and I already knew she was pretty.
Seeing the smokey look, I was a little nervous because it is a look that is hard for me to carry off. But… I always give pro’s the benefit of the doubt and I told Kirstie to do whatever she thought would be best to make me and my little black dress look great for my birthday.
Um… WOW!!! Kirstie has a true gift. She accentuated all of my assets and understood that a clean, simple look makes me look my best and most dramatic. When my friend and I walked into my party — people noticed how great we looked and commented. The didn’t notice that we had makeup on — they said we looked happy, healthy, hot, and really pretty.
I was impressed. Plus her studio is cute, she is a doll that will make you feel pretty even before you look in the mirror, and Kirstie has a gift for making you believe it is a special day and you do deserve to feel special.
If I ever have an event or get married… I will pay her double if she is already booked because even with a dramatic look, she doesn’t make you look like you have makeup on — she gives you that gorgeous polished look that looks absolutely natural.

I’ve had the pleasure of getting my makeup done not once, but twice (!) by that talented Kirstie Wight, and I can’t wait to go back for my next need-to-be-professionally-makeup’ed event.

Wow! Kirstie did my makeup, my mom’s makeup, and all the ladies in my wedding, and it was AMAZING! Everyone was complementing me about my makeup, I looked like a 40s movie star!
